Our Big-12 conference. First, all the tax dollars that go to Missouri and NOT ONE school is in that state. Silliest thing I have ever heard of. I hear people say its such a good environment blah blah blah - yes for the KU and KSU fans. I just watched the KU/OSU game and almost all the upper sections looked totally empty to me. If that game was on Thursday at 1:30 in OKC the Okie State fans would have filled up the Ford Center. NO WAY the Big-12 should go to a city in a state that has no schools there - absolutely ridiculous!!!!

Just my opinion but this has got to stop happening. Thoughts ? And I don’t care about tradition and great environment etc.

Sorry, but tradition and environment matter. Otherwise, just pick a high school gym that is geographically in the middle of the conference and play there. And I disagree that OSU fans would fill the place in OKC. Maybe occasionally they would come out in good numbers in a good season if they are playing KU or OU, but they didn't even fill half their arena for plenty of games this season.

I wouldn't mind seeing it rotated if other cities would support it as well, but I don't know how realistic that is.

It should rotate. Period. I hate that it's back to being in KC full time.

Kansas fans wouldn't make the trip? Being a few hundred miles closer wouldn't help to draw more fans from the state of Texas (on second thought).

Just silly - Wichita. Please comment on the fact that the Big-12 is putting MILLIONS of dollars every year in to a state that has No team. Most stupid thing I have ever heard of.

Basketball should stay in KC, where the two largest fan bases that support their team are closest to.

Football should stay in Dallas, where OU and whoever else makes it are closest to.

And no, in OKC it wasn't supported very well. OU and Ok State fans didn't show up like ISU and KU fans do in KC.

Support today with KU playing sucked by the way

Yes but the rotation should never include KC. Missouri tried to destroy our conference. We should give the one finger solute to the entire State of Missouri

The AD should all be in jeopardy of losing their jobs for having this tournament in KC. You want it in that location, cross the river. **** Missouri.

And I believe they should put the men’s and women’s back together. Women’s cant support themselves and when OKC had it and the fans could litteraly walk across the street and support their other team crowds were much better.

The tourney is best supported and attended in KC. Attendance was down when it wasn’t in KC. I’m guessing thats why it went back to KC permanently. I wish it would rotate and not be in KC every year. I would like to see it back in OKC.

I understand what you are saying but again, IT’S MISSOURI. No colleges there LOL

Missouri has both the big12 and SEC tournaments. Think about that!

Uh, Missouri IS in the SEC so that works.

And of course KansasSooner wants it to stay in KC. NOPE most of my OU friends too think it is the dumbest thing the Big-12 has ever done. I’m getting ready to email Joe C (like my little opinion matters but it doesn’t hurt).

deal with reality. if it's breaking even or gaining being in KC over elsewhere then it needs to stay there. it is still a business and if the Kansas and Iowa fans are gonna give it such great support when further south wont then it needs to stay up there with them and that fact be appreciated. know where your bread is buttered.

What tax dollars are you talking about? You realize that the city of Kansas City pays the Big 12 for the right to host the tournament, right? And if they offer more than Dallas or OKC, then the Big 12 gets more money and Kansas City gets the tournament? That's how it works.

And everyone's thoughts are OK unless then involve tradition and a great environment? Then people's thoughts aren't OK? For OU's sake, I'd rather it be in OKC as well but you can't be shocked to find out that money drives every decision made by the NCAA, major college sports, and the athletic teams that fuel them.
