No Pledge?

Good back and forth in this convo guys.

Again, my opinion is that even if he was "not getting open" he still should have been in the game for the final play. LK said the play was designed for Grooms to penetrate and shoot if open or kick if guarded. Who better to kick it to that Pledger.

I also wonder what this does for his confidence going forward. A sr sitting the bench at home during crunch time cant help. Yes I realize he was playing poorly and Im not trying to defend his poor play. Its just worrisome for his psyche. It will be interesting to see how he reacts agasint ISU.
 
I listened to the game on the radio. Toby asked Houck why he thought Pledger was sitting. The answer was, " I would guess it was because of his defense."

If you are saying that he's a senior and he shouldn't react that way, I completely agree. As a Senior, he's supposed to be an example hustling and finding other ways to contribute, even if his shot isn't falling.

Yes, that is exactly what I meant. You said it much better than me. :)
