Norman North vs Midwest City

Nice report Traveler! It will be interesting to hear how Manek's game compares to Freeman over the course of the summer.

I went to HS with Caleb Huffman's dad. His dad (Jodi) was a great player in HS and played at TU for Tubby Smith. His dad was more of an undersized post (about 6'4) but was athletic.

Might see if I can make that game. Would be a fun one to go to.

I will be post my son's BA baseball game, as we will want to watch the BA boys as well. Lot of good athletes at Memorial that night as BA has a really talented JR guard with TU, TTU and ORU offers among others. Caleb Huffman is his name. Could be a late bloomer for OSU or OU if he can be more consistent this summer.

holy crap, that's my kid's name...lol

6'4 200lbs...played baseball at 2 juco's in ks..now a hiker/climber/snowboard bum in colo.

Well, I just got home from the game. It defintely wasn't Trae's best night shooting the 3 ball. I don't know the final stats...but I'm guessing he was about 3-15 or so. I don't mind him taking shots 4-6 feet from behind the line, but there were a couple where he was juking and would then shoot like a 27 footer...while fading away. Not the highest % of shot!!! But the kid defintely has skill...and made some great drives and is a great passer!!

Looking forward to see him play with better talent around him. He made a couple of sweet passes that his teammates couldn't handle.

I'm sure he still scored quite a few points..but not his best night from outside the arc.

The Embery kid from MWC also impressed me. A little bigger than Trae, and probably more of a slasher...but I would hope Lon would go after him. Sort of reminded me of a De'Angelo Alexander type...but not quite as thick. Looked like a combo guard to me. He split time between PG and SG. A lot of his points were from drives and mid-range...but he is really athletic.

Drake also had an off night.

Watched the Heritige Hall-Harrah game and agree totally with Traveler about Harrah offense.

I can see what OU likes about Manek. Has good hands and good long range shooting. Also very quick for his size. Has great court vision. On the negative side he has to work a lot harder on rebounding. Really didn't seem to make much effort to get into position and was not a force on the boards at all.

I like a stretch 4 as much as the next guy, but how many of these guys do we need? Buford. Freeman. Manek.

The first two can't get consistent minutes b/c they can't defend or rebound.

Thanks for the highlights, OKHoopsRepot! :chestram2:

Awesome thanks. What number is the Embery? Is that the guy that ripped Young in the first clip?

Yes, Embery is #5
His jumper was off last night, usually that's his main offensive weapon. Which can be a hinderance at times when he settles for too many jumpers. So it was a great step in his progression last night with his willingness to attack and also get teammates involved.
