So two guys with 22 posts between them are tired of the rehashing? Where were you all season? Things actually stayed pretty calm around here for most of the year, but with a nine-game losing streak to end the season and all the bad news (and virtually no good news) that's occurred in the weeks since, why in the world shouldn't people be allowed to squawk? It was the worst season in 40 years, and the offseason's been even worse, so far.
At this point, we can keep rehashing, we can limit ourselves to only positive posts (I'm all for that. Give me something -- anything -- to be positive about, and I'll be on board, I'll guarantee you), or we can stop posting altogether. Asking people to stick to the middle option under our current circumstances is unreasonable and a bit naive, and I don't want to see the board go quiet. So, it appears that we'll continue to have a mix of positive and negative until we learn about Tiny's status, about the the likelihood that we'll get in dutch with the NCAA, about whether we're going to land some of the recruits we all agree we need desperately or enter next season severely undermanned.
I might counter the whining by saying the cheerleading that's based on nothing at all is getting old, too, but what's the point of complaining? We're in a major holding pattern right now, and none of us knows what's coming. We could sign a few guys in the next two weeks and things would look much brighter (if that occurs, I'll be among those celebrating enthusiastically, believe me), or we could miss out on our key targets and be in big trouble going into next season.
I don't pretend to have the slightest clue which it'll be; I'm just waiting for news like everyone else.
