Nothing positive about getting run off your home floor.

I may be wrong, but don't you have to at least give Clark more offensive opportunities? He has some offensive skills. At least give him a shot to go off. He's the future and gives OU the best chance to compete.

Well all he really does is stand out on the three point line and hope no one is guarding him or going for an alley oop. So no he does not need any more chances unless he starts getting aggressive and moving to the basket.

Guards in our offense don't really go to the basket that well and never have under Capel. Look back at the Capel here how often do our guards no matter who we've had really penetrate at all? AJ would some but not a lot. Our guards would just shoot long jumpers maybe make some of them. Cade tries to go inside a lot as a guard but outside of him think about the wings we've had. They spend a lot of time shooting perimeter shots. Hoping they go in. Very little isolation from our guards. We try and isolate our posts most of the time and when we had Blake it worked real well. Nate it worked well too, but right now we just don't get enough consistency from our post to have a lot of open shots and we don't hit the open shots we have.

I thought Fitzgerald played really well. Got good post position nearly every play just never got an entry pass. When he did get the pass they automatically doubled him every possession and more often than not he stayed calm, split the two and took a good shot. They need to find a way to feed him consistently if he is going to do the work like he did today.

You better prepare yourself for the worst outcome because if Tech does not cooperate there is a good chance the Sooners will go 0-16 in Big 12 conference play. If that happens I want to see Joe's name etched in the record book right alongside Jeff's name.

This is the 2nd time today u have called out Joe C. I asked you to explain and you have ducked it once. So, I'll ask it again while pointing out that u are calling out the best AD in America. What's your beef with Joe?

Joe's the best AD in America? Then why do we have the worst basketball team in the whole BCS-conference sphere?

Came you name a better one? Think of all the championships in all of the sports, the amount of money running through the Athletics Department, the hires he has had. Honestly, Joe being at OU is the best thing to happen to the athletic department in 20+ years.

Stoops was an off-the-charts hire and I'll give you that one. However, name me some other Joe hires that have panned out?

Sherri was hired by Donnie Duncan (actually hired by Marita Hynes but DD was AD).
Patty Gasso was hired by Donnie Duncan (actually Marita Hynes but DD was AD).
Golloway was hired by Joe, but he tried to hire Stephenson and that turned out to be a major cluster *&(*&. So, in the 11th hour he gave the job to the interim coach who had been hired by Cochell.
The soccer coach was hired by Joe, but he fired the 1st soccer coach he hired.
The volleyball coach was hired by Joe, but he also fired the first volleyball coach he hired.
Hybl, the golf coach, is brand new so the jury's out on him.
The tennis coach has good tennis genes, but it's too early on him.
The mens gymnastics coach was on the staff of Greg Buwick the previous coach since the late 80's so that wasn't a big coaching search or anything.
The womens gymnastics coach was a good hire by Joe.
The track & field coach seems to be a good hire by Joe.
He will finally get to hire a wrestling coach so that will be interesting to see how that pans out.

So, other than Stoops, the most successful coaches in the department, Coale and Gasso were not hired by Joe. The other 2 most successful coaches, Williams (gymnastics) and Golloway were hired by Joe, but they were on staff and hired by the previous head coach.

Williams and Galloway were hired by Joe. Your on staff argument doesnt hold water. He still hired them. So theres two more. Galloway went to the CWS last year.

The Soccer and the volleyball coach that he hired both made the NCAA tourney this year. Volleyball for the 2nd straight season I think. Also good hires by Joe: are the womens gymnastics coach, T&F.etc.

Honestly other than Mens bball is there any program that is truly struggling to win? And if close to all programs are winning and the department is running in the black, what are you trying to point out? The guy over all that winning and money....Joe C.

Are you just arguing for argument sake or do you think he is not a good AD?

Gene Stephenson?

For the record nobody gives a ra about volleyball, gymnastics or tiddlywinks.

Well, Joe didn't want to hire Golloway but he was forced to after the Stephenson debacle. I can't speak for how the gymnastics coach got the job. Did Joe open a national search and then decide Williams was the best choice or did he hand the reigns over to the trusty assistant?

I like Joe and think he's an outstanding AD and am glad to have him. However for anybody to say that everything he's touched has turned to gold isn't accurate. He is human and so one glaring mistake he has made is the hire of Capel. He went on the cheap and it cost us. Hopefully he's learned his lesson like he did with soccer and volleyball but we will find out.

As Sid pointed out, gymnastics and volleyball aren't revenue generators so is the fact he hired good coaches for those programs more important than the colossal mistake with Capel? Mens basketball is the 2nd most revenue producer for the AD so the mistake there tends to overshadow the successes in the minor sports.

I also think its obvious the highest performing coaches in the AD other than stoops were not hired by Joe. Maybe Marita Hynes should be consulted for leading the mens basketball hiring committee? Is she still alive?

I never said everything he does turns to gold. I just said hes the best AD in the country. I simply want to understand from Sid why he has a beef with Joe b/c hes called him out several times today. You said you are glad to have him so...I guess ill ask you since Sid wont. Do you think hes the best in the country?

I think he's very good, but best in the country? Hard to say but it appears to me he has ignored the mens basketball program for a long time. Is that because it was a yearly postseason program and he just wanted to keep it moving in that direction? So he tried not to rock the boat but he actually did by hiring an unproven coach who has since brought the program to it's knees.

Right now I'd say no based on mens basketball. If he does the needful and fires capel and makes an excellent hire then I would be ready to admit he's the best.

I would also like to see him change the ticket policy for basketball tickets and do something radical to get more basketball fans and less football fans in the arena once the product improves. I think he's failed in those 2 areas.

I see what your stepping in with your first point, but I disagree.

Agree completely on your last point. I would love for him to change the ticket policy. Too many donors that dont go to the games b/c they get more points for better football tix. It bugs me to look down and see empty seats all year regardless of how good or bad this team is.
