Nut Check

Of course it matters. But only when you had a fighting chance to begin with.

Could this team be tougher? Probably. Would it make a difference in the win-loss column? Hell no.

We need better players. Period. Then we can talk about intangibles.

Can't argue the talent point but if we had even 3 tough players we would have 3 extra wins, of course toughness and 3 more wins, doesn't cure our biggest problems. I would feel better about our future if we were already tough and then added talent since we've been talented (last season) and soft and sucked even worse.

Goff isn't dominating in JUCO. He's getting something like 12 points, 10 boards which is okay but how does it equate to the college level? Especially with a weak JUCO game there is right now. Osby could be an upgrade but will he really put much better than 12 and 5 rebounds that Davis puts up. Probably not that much better. He could put up something like 14 and 7, but is that enough to give us many more wins?

Cameron Clark played 33 minutes and grabbed two rebounds. Two.

That's embarrassing for a kid that athletic playing on a team w/ so few options on the glass. Nothing but desire and toughness in his case.

I recommend that someone (not me) perform a nut check before we take the floor, we are soft. If our opponent gets in our face and plays tough defense 80% of our team disappears. I apologize for this thread in advance.

We play like one of those terrible CU or NU teams of the past. No defense and less talent every conference game.
