Two things from this week:

First, I thought this was the best two defensive efforts I've seen from the Sooners all season. The interior double on the post players was aggressive with quick rotation, good communication and the perimeter switching has improved significantly from earlier in the season with fewer open looks.

Second, Cousins and Hornbeak are both regaining some confidence offensively which is vital for this team if they want to make a successful run in the post season. Coach Kruger's NBA background is perfect for this team as they are tough to matchup with against teams with size. Play man and it opens up driving lanes to get to the rim. Play zone and OU can beat you over the top from 3. Barnes watched the KU film and tried to go zone to avoid the former and got burned.

Can't wait to see them play in KC!

Going back to KSU, it's our three best defensive games all in a row.

Good observations. Cousins has really set the tone defending the perimeter. Good progress. Gives me hope for the future and it will help when the rim protectors get to Norman next year.
