Ok State takes another hit.

This is getting crazy.

March 27 - Brianne Coffman transferring. (Committed to Houston)
April 2 - Twitter reports an OSU Assistant Coach Opening. (Richie Henderson removed from okstate.com roster)
April 4 - Amber Ramirez decommits.
April 10 - Roshunda Johnson announces she is not returning.
April 11 - Brittany Atkins announces she is not returning.
April 14 - Lakota Beatty announces she is not returning.

That is some major news to be going on in 2.5 weeks. And there will probably be more to come.

It doesn't seem to be a pending penalty from the APR as OSU has been above the benchmark (and improving) since the 2009-2010 season. There was only 1 defection from last year's team (2013-2014) I believe, Marisha Wallace. That would not be enough to drop the score below penalty levels.

This makes 4 of the top 5 (5 of top 7) scorers from this year's team that will not be returning due to graduation or transfers.

Then they beat us both times!

I hate to see this. I always want the Sooners to beat the Cowgirls but, I do want to see them competitive and if they beat all of the other teams they play, that's good.

Norm, they seem pretty competitive!

They will continue to be competitive if they can actually shoot over 50% from the field, hit almost all their 3's and seldom get fouls called against them.

In fact I don't know why they don't just easily defeat Texas by shooting those threes all the game. Let's see. 6 in the 4th quarter means they should be able to hit 24 in every game. that starts them off with 72 points, then get a few more in the paint and they should very easily score 100 or so per game the rest of the way.

Now that will certainly make them competitive.

Teasing of course. But we have won the same way on occasion. It happens. The shots just all fall. You win some that way and you lose some that way. What they did would be like TT hitting 4 or 5 threes without a miss. It may happen some day. If so, let's hope it's in an important game - since its just luck - not skill - meaning you cannot make it happen. Pure luck if it happens in a game you would have lost otherwise - but you get the win anyway.

By the way, I doubt they hit 24 threes against Texas. Time will tell.

It appears that there may have been some addition by subtraction. Littell seems to be a pretty solid coach, don't know if he'll ever be a great recruiter.

Agreed. That said, they did a great job recruiting Rameriz but lost her when the assistant left. Can they bring in other recruits as good as Martin, Jensen, and Ramirez? Don't know. I do know it's a lot easier to recruit to Norman than it is Stillwater so it will not be easy for them to sign top 20 type players and that's what the need to do to stay in the top 3-4 of the Big 12 and make the NCAA tourney on a regular basis. Being a great X and Os coach is great but you still have to have some players who are special.
