It seems to certainly be affecting the others. James gets an offensive rebound under the basket & doesn't go up. He passes it out to Doolittle 8 feet from the basket with a path to the basket and he passes it out to Young instead of attacking the basket. They're utterly dysfunctional on both ends.

I would agree, especially if the TO's continue to climb. Sure it gets old working your arse off to see a 30fter go off the rim.

Well to be fair since KSU kind of showed how to defend TY isn't it up to Lon to make some changes on how to attack

I would be very surprised if Lon is coaching him to take 28 footers and make low-percentage passes. The only thing that Lon can do is continually sit him at various points because Trae doesn't seem to want to change his decision-making.....and it's really hurting this team.

Yep, they don’t play team ball

At the time of the year other teams are starting to gel, they’re just defaulting to one player

After a defensive rebound toward the end of the half, Young's bringing the ball up with Manek wide open ahead of him. No pass. They settle in, so does the defense, Trae ends up double-teamed and.,.turnover.

Just awful.

Guess the "good" is he might come back...but then again if no one else starts picking it up he may say screw it.

I think it's a panic move when the team gets behind. When confident, they're doing everything right. But they've got to dial up the intensity & start playing defense. That's where it starts.

I can agree with that but doesn't help when teammates crab a rebound only to have it taken away or missing layups...plenty of blame to go around

We’re as close to a one man team as we’ve been all year. As TY goes the team goes...and the secret is out. This could easily turn into a 5 game losing streak.

That last possession could've been a good look if, I believe it was Lattin would've even touched Solomon to screen him. Just so soft. The one handed crap from Trae compounded it since you can't pull that back once you commit to throwing it.

One of the problems is that you can't really sit Young to rest him or coach him even for a minute because the team doesn't really have a backup PG.

I agree....Trae isn't the only guy having issues today. Post play is non-existent and we simply aren't tough enough as we need to be.

James had three players around him. Doolittle was wide open but he threw it out to Young so they could get the last shot of the half. Unfortunately, Young turned it over.

It is hard for other guys to get involved with what we have been doing. Most of the attempted passes off his drives have been fast balls to bigs. I like what we are doing this half so far. Just have to execute and be tougher
