+++++Oklahoma [5-1] vs. UTSA [5-4] GameThread+++++

Gave up a little 7-0 spurt a couple minutes ago, but besides that, much better effort defensively over the last 10 game minutes.

82-67 at the under 8 timeout. We're getting some separation due to a pressuring defense forcing turnovers...just wish we were guarding the three-point line better.

I'm glad McGusty made his first basket of the game, but never imagined he would be struggling like this after a great freshman season.

No quit in UTSA. That little Jackson is quite a shooter. I like Henson's team. It's amazing to watch Jamoney's athleticism come into play in games like this. He's not just a gazelle ... he's also a human pogo stick.

Boy, Freeman's stroke is just really turning into something special.

If I didn’t know better, I’d think Lazenby was a dude they picked up from the Huff

97-85 final. More of the same. Lots of offense, no defense for most of the night. On to USC in LA on Friday night.

Win is a win, play like this Friday and it will be a blow out

if ut-sa can hit 13 3s against OU makes me wonder what good teams can do.

I thought our defense created some offense at times

Defensive rebounding was largely disgusting

From looking at the stat sheet, there is some good and some "not so" good. We outscored them 48-30 in the paint, yet we still jacked up (37) 3s. Rebounding numbers came around fairly well. I also like that we had 8 steals and 7 blocks.

We could improve our assist numbers.....only 15 assists on 37 made FGs. I don't like the 14 TOs against a poor team, but I guess that is something we are just going to have to live with playing at the pace we do.

We have a ton of work to do because the next two games are a huge step up in class.

It's a bit deceiving...both teams were playing as if it was a 15-second shot clock. Both teams had a lot more possessions than we will probably see in any game the rest of the year. Our 3-point defense wasn't bad in the 1st half, but was atrocious in the 2nd half.

Maybe we should just accept this is who OU is. In football and basketball. Flashy offense, swiss cheese defense.

I'm not sure why people are complaining about defense. Allowing 38% shooting and 31% on threes is very good and will win you just about any game, even if OU's shooters are as cold as they were tonight.
