*****Oklahoma-Cincinnati Game Thread*****

It's not the end of the world. I just hope it's not a sign of thing to come.

I understand guys getting a lump in their throat on offense but I am so disappointed with the D down the stretch.

I'm freaking tired of losing games like this. I'm tired of the BS moral victories against mediocre at best teams. GET IT FREAKING DONE. PERIOD. Excuse time is over.

We really missed Newell tonight and that is going to happen this season. We have no backcourt depth

Good Lord, some of you need to chill out.

Haven't been this mad in three years? LMAO. I was more upset after just about every single game over the last two years. We all know this team is a work in progress. Depth killed us. That is going to kill us all season. The team played hard, and smart for the majority of the game. Refs didn't lose us the game, but they certainly didn't help. Tough loss, but we'll rebound. Of that I'm sure.

One of the dumbest things I've seen posted. Depth was a problem in a game with little foul trouble against a teamm with four players suspended.

I'm disappointed in the D, too, but it's hard to win on the road when the opposing players have the officials on their side. Wright drives, takes 6 steps, gets touched by Neal, and gets a foul call for a three-point play. Osby scores in close, gets thwapped on the head while shooting, but no whistle.

We'd be in OT right now if the officials had gotten it right on just that one play.

No one mentioned any moral victories. They didn't play with the same composure or toughness in the later part of the game that they exhibited in the early part of the game. That's not an excuse. That's a fact.

No crap. I said this very thing after he left. We pretty much have no true 2/3 off the bench. We have Blair, a pg with limited handles, and Neal, a guy that is better in the role of small 4 off the bench. That is what we have.

Cam is the one that is really killing us. He looks lost out there. Sure he's had a couple of solid games, but more often then not, he has hurt us. That HAS to change, or this team won't live up to its potential.

Still a lot of basketball left. We also don't have many games left on the schedule against teams that are athletic and long as that Cincy team. Not an excuse, but that really isn't a good matchup for us.

We have depth at certain positions but not at others. We are very short of good ball handlers.

I thought it was a good game. I didn't like the end but there were some positives. OU was picked 9th in the conference. The fans need to stay with this team

You would think we are a top 10 team with all of the whining.

We played lights out defense for the first 34 minutes of the game.

Offense struggled most of the game. Pledger needs to pull up for a mid range jumper. He isn't going to get to the hoop one on one but can get a 15 foot shot off.

Bottom line we started missing shots, including free shots and they started hitting shots.

Too many turnovers and clearly a defensive breakdown late. Maybe we tried to push out too far.

Neal's shots were usually late in the clock and under pressure. I don't fault him for missing them. The free shots another matter.

We should feel good that this unrespected team is able to play a good team close on the road.

Some problems to solve and some learning opportunities but i'm proud of the team for their effort and hard play.

You don't think we looked tired? You think it's good for Pledger and Osby to play 38 minutes a game? You think Cam's disappearing act, forcing more minutes out of Neal and Blair didn't hurt? You don't think not having a single true guard on our bench, against a team that played a 4 guard lineup, didn't hurt?

Give me a break.

Yes they did. I've already seen "at least we didn't get blown out" and "learning experience". BULL S**T. We just straight up handed a game to a mediocre team. I don't want to hear it.

If you ignore people who say things you don't agree with, others will ignore your virtual temper tantrums.

You are over-reacting. We lost a tight game on the road with a bunch of guys who don't yet know how to win tight games.

It will get better.

Agreed, not sure how anyone can differ from this analysis.

For all of those who are losing their cookies over this loss, welcome to reality. We've got some good parts, but when we don't bring it in all areas, we're going to get beat, especially on the road.

Good learning experience for the squad, get one back Saturday to prepare for conference.

I agree. :clap:clap

What the heck is going on here folks?? I have agreed with WT and BOB in the same thread, on the same night!!!!! :facepalm:D:D

J/K by the way..........

Aaaand here we go with the sunshine crowd squelching anyone that doesn't toe the company f*cking line. More of the same from the Capel era. All is well, nothing to see here, move along.

No offense, but that's a crock of s**t. As long as we have that mindset we're not going anywhere.

Senior you know I always respect your input, but I just don't see where you are going here. I don't for one second believe LK and the players will find any moral victories out of the loss. Fans on the other hand often do. LK will use it as a teaching moment, the guys will get better at these unfamiliar situations, and things will continue to get better, IMO.

I understand being upset, but I don't understand acting like the team was high fivin' and experiencing Nirvana because they played it close......
