Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year

I believe it was Mac who has stated that we need a wing going forward. Some have described Wilson as a perfect wing because she can shoot from the perimeter, she is a very good ball handler, and she is athletic enough to the get to the rim. As most know, we are short on players who are that athletic and skilled.

I found the following on a site about Wilson but do not know how accurate it is:

Has offers from all Big 12 teams excluding Texas. Major interest from Texas A&M, Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Louisville plus many more.

I thought she had already committed.

She's not a true elite college wing forward, which requires an athlete with something approaching point guard skills who is over 6 feet tall and can shoot effectively outside or challenge the trees inside, and effectively rebound the ball against taller players.

My reference is Maryland in 2005.
THEY had a college wing.

If Maddie isn't a wing-forward I don't know what is?

Your going to have to be a really really good player to contribute on our team next season- We need to keep recruiting, but your going to have to be real good to play.

Agreed.

I am always happy when a player decides to come to OU. I have little interest in those who don't. I am pleased with what we have. If anyone else wants to join us, I will be pleased. If not, I won't cry over it.

From what I've read, she will most likely be a 3 in college. I guess time will tell.

I thought I saw it on ESPN, Norman, but I had her confused with someone else.

Sorry all for the confusion.

Here's a question, how can Sherri not be recruiting her and have already offered her? She has to be and if she isn't, then wow, Sherri is making a huge mistake.

What concerns me is I can't find even a hint of who she's talked to or who has offered her anywhere.

Can anyone else?

Ana is playing well. At the end of the first quarter I think she has about 11 points. Choctaw is leading 13-7.

Llanusa appears to be a much better prospect. I wonder if Wilson's game will translate into D-1. She has to get under the rim, with the exception of one three. She isn't that big. She isn't going to get four offensive boards to get a putback.

Llanusa seems to be able to create and score from anywhere. Wilson seems to work. Llanusa seems to be so effortless. Gentle touch.
