Old man's observation

Guys, looking at OU for the first time this year, keeping in mind that this team is very young and is a project here are a few things I saw.

1) Let's not get down on this team nor should we put this team on a cloud
2) Capel must find a way to keep two players on the floor as much as possible, Cade Davis and Nick Thompson.
3) Nick Thompson must look to score more than he does, Billy Tubbs was correct, he is the best passer on the team but OU needs his scoring.
4) Coach Capel was correct at the game interview when he said that a young team gets down on itself when things don't go right, look at the scoring. when the shots didn't fall they were down, defense wasn't as crisp and neither was the passing.
5) for those of you living close to Norman you need to be in the stands giving these guys your support, I will only be able to make a couple of games since I live in Memphis but fans support will drive this team to get better.
6) coming from behind will go a very long way with this team and we should see a different team Thursday.

disagree with you about Davis .. he was horrid on O and D for much of this game ..

Davis had a very bad night but OU needs his experience and leadership, there were a couple of times in the game where he took the young guys aside and was talking with them. We can't judge one game but you are right he had a very bad game.

OU needs Newell on the court as much as possible. The really sad thing about TJ Taylor redshirting is that he's exactly what this team needs- someone that plays D, can handle the ball, and likes to penetrate.

He hasn't played any college ball, how do you know this is what he brings to the table?

because he has played high level high school ball and in a lot of ways was a better player than clark in the same league .. and he already has a college Sr body ..
