Of course OU will have to get a new coach first but this is a guy who could be brought in for a year. I have no idea where his interest but he is a guy who fits a need for next year so it will be interesting to see if he's still available if the new coaching staff targets him.

From Zag's blog twitter
6-7 Louisiana Tech G/F Olu Ashaolu has graduated and received his release, per Ro Russell. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

He's 6'7 228 and averaged 14.2 points, 9.4 rebounds in 30.9 minutes for La Tech this year.

Last season he went for 10.7 points, 8.1 rebounds in 28 minutes.

Born in Nigeria then moved to Canada, then graduated from Christan Life Center in Houston.

His situation is similar to the Anderson guy at ISU and what Orlando Allen did to play at Marshall this year. If you graduate and enroll in another school's grad program you can play now for one year.

i've seen him play a little. he's very active. not really a post, though he can score down there. maybe a little like singletary for tech, but not as much range.

i'd take him. he'll need to learn to play defense though, la tech played horrible defense.

This cat can play. I've seen him numerous times, think Fitz, but with athleticism and more range.

Hoping the Pierre connection can reel him in for OSU.
