I still relish those wins from 10 years ago, when OU beat them three times, including the one in Norman that was so "controversial." Tech's behavior in the aftermath, starting with the Head Nazi, was despicable the rest of that season.

Not only did their own athletic department post the result as "outcome under review" (which it wasn't) in official sports information releases, I heard they even flashed "Cheaters!" on the scoreboard before the rematch in Lubbock in February. Then, when the third meeting took place in the Big 12 tourney, their players refused to shake hands before the tip.

The only regret I had was that we didn't pound them in any of those games. But to make all three OU wins gut-wrenching was about as good of a revenge.

Tech has always been the trashy part of Big 12's sesame street.

When timekeeper issues lingered and it wasn't just the Tech game, OU fired the timekeeper in question. We did what we had to do to preserve LNC game integrity.

Tech, on the other hand, hasn't had stability at football/mens bball coaching in awhile.

If you look up Texas Tech in the dictionary you find the word "hater". They are jealous of everyone and are a joke all around. Having Knight in basketball during that time just exacerbated the problem. After the 05 football game they have no room to call anyone else cheater... And their overall athletic programs have a long history of cheating, pretty much worse than anyone...

I still remember the Knight and Sampson handshake after the game in Dallas in the Big 12 tourney. It was priceless. Neither one even looked at the other and they barely touched hands.
