Romero didn't just talk the talk in his newspaper interview a few days ago, he walked the walk in tonight's game. Heck of a performance with 16 points, 13 rebs a steal and 2 blocks. Despite the charge call, his facial dunk in the first half was something special!

Am I the only one who thinks Cam is beginning to show everyone why he was a top 40 recruit the past three games? He's playing with a lot of energy on defense, and he seems to be gaining confidence in his shot with every game. His 14 points (6 of 12 from the field), 5 rebs and an outstanding job on defense was one of the keys in our win tonight.

Great game, guys!!! :clap

Definitely and more importantly when things got tough so did Osby. He had some key baskets when OSU made its run.

Clark's last three games:

Texas: 13 and 7
ISU: 16 and 4
OSU: 14 and 5

* 17-for-33 shooting combined in those games.

Clark's shot isn't pretty all of the time, but he can knock them down fairly consistantly even with someone in his face.

Actually, consistency is his biggest problem. And with that form, I think it will continue to be a problem. Was glad to see him get hot last night though. We needed him in that 1st half.

Clark always makes me cringe because his dribbling and shooting motion are so, so awkward but it's always nice when he gets going.

I guess I should have said streaky. He gets into rhythm and can't miss.

True. Seems like he is either really hot, or really cold. Not much in between. He hit some tough jumpers last night. Guys in his face, off balance at times, and some long two's. Hopefully he'll continue playing well.....as I'd like to pick up a couple of wins before the season ends (aTm, maybe @UT).

When Cam just plays and shoots in rhythm, he shoots a high percentage. Sometimes it seems he is just thinking too much instead of just playing and taking the shots that come to him in the flow of play.

Its like in golf, if your worried about making birdie, scoring, your place in the tournament etc, then your not thinking about grip pressure, take away and other fundamentals of the swing. In other words, you can only have your mind on one thing at a time. When he is just playing and putting his mind on getting his feet square, visualizing the back rim and proper release position, he shoots well. Other times, he seems distracted.

You are right though, I thought last night was the best game of the year for Clark and Osby. I could see both of those guys having big years next year.

FWIW, Osby had his seventh double-double last night.

Neal and Cam Clark are both playing better lately. If OU can get some consistent production out of Neal next season, that would be a nice boost to the team.

I know it might seem for some to be too little too late ... but IMO that was a real boost-in-the-arm effort that those kids can seriously build on.

It's never too late to build on the future. What we saw was an example of the improvements you have been talking about. While the baby steps we have been witness to may not pay huge dividends this season, they should give us plenty to look forward to next year.
