and its not even close.

Dunk contest out there.. Olukemi, Nash, Williams, Cobbins, and Brown are all very high level athletes. Each one of those guys would probably be the most athletic player on OU's roster.

I can't believe they got picked 7th. They might win the damn thing.

good you found a new favorite team ...

they will be much closer to 7th or 8th than 1st

They should at least be fun to watch, lot of guys that can jump. Dowell nearly threw a monstrous dunk down. Only downside I've seen in a meaningless exhibition game is Jurick looks like a typical OSU stiff.

Point guard play will be their undoing IMO.

LeBryan Nash has 24/11 so far in his debut... guy looks like Carmello Anthony out there.

I'd take Baylor when talking most athletic.

I honestly think that will be one of the stronger positions for OSU. Dowell came on really well toward the end of last year, Gulley is back after a RS year and is at least a good defensive player that can match up with a 2-gaurd if he needs to. Guerro looks better than I thought he would so far. The problem with OSU will again be inside defensive depth. Jurick looked like his feet are in cement, maybe just the fact that he didn't have anyone to bang around with in Panhandle St. Cobbins will likely not hold up as a center in Big 12 play. Guys like Nash and Olukemi/Brown/Williams can help out inside, but matching up against a true 5-man will be difficult. Gonna have to run and gun for their points, I think.

There are no 5's in the league other than Withey at Kansas.

Their going to win games at the free throw line. This team is in trouble. They have 1 post player(Cobbins) who is going to contribute. Jurick and Soucek are horrible. They need Williams back asap. Nash looked great against 6 foot nothings out there.

If OSU players think their going to get to the rim every time, their mistaken. Guerrero is their hidden gem. He is what Travis Ford needs in his PG...a quick guard that can shoot it.

If this team wasn't so young I would say they had a chance with their 4 guard lineup, the same way that Anderson, Harris, Muonelo, and Eaton were able to compete but Nash, Page, Brown, and Olukemi just isn't even close to being enough to compete in this league. They are really going to miss the low post presence of Pilgrim, Moses and Williams.

The beloved baylor bears got out rebounded by a dII school in their exhibition game. Best front court in the big 12?

Jurick is no stiff. Dude won't score in double digits all year, but he moves well for his size.

OSU has no one that can bang around with the true bigs in the big 12. Baylor's starters and bench will kill them down low. KU's starters(Robinson and Withey) will go to town on them. aTm and ISU will have their way down low. Mizzou's Ratliffe will dominate by either drawing double teams and dishing to their many guards or going hard at either Cobbins and Jurick. OU's post should be able to rack up points against them as well.

Thats pretty funny. Everyone plays one exhibition game and you know how the whole season will play out? Thats impressive. Jurick will be fine.

Baylor's A.Jones and Morgan did not play in that game so lets not write them off just yet.

As for Jurick...The dude probably won't score many at all. He needs to become a dominant rebounder and from what I saw...he lacks it.

Funny, you poo-poo a negative opinion about oswho because it's based on one exhibition game.

But when abd praises oswho to the skies, based on -- wait for it -- one exhibition game, you say not a word. That, you have no problem with.

Wasn't aware. Still shouldn't get out rebounded, especially a top 25 team. You can't tell me you disagree with that? I'm not writing them off, just questioning how good their front court is.

I poo poo a negative opinion on one player (Jurick). We all know bigad well enough that some of his posts need no response. Obviously I don't think osu will win the conference, but I guess silence means I agree.

As for Jurick. He had a tough game. OPSU's tallest guy was 6'5, so they took lots of outside shots resulting in mostly long rebounds. He had 3 blocks but 1 rebound is pretty sad. He has a lot to learn, but like I said he isn't a stiff. He has the tools, just needs to bring it all together. We'll see how he does the rest of the way.

Baylor wasn't a great rebounding team last year, either (9th in the Big 12). But pretty much everyone above them suffered major losses. Baylor brought back just about everyone and added a top 10 player.

I don't know if their rebounding will improve all that much, but I'd bet on their front court to outscore anyone else in the conference.

I think OSU will be good. Not sure about winning the whole thing good but this will be a weaker year for the conference with KU being down, Texas losing a bunch, Texas A&M losing a coach. Baylor is about the only team that didn't lose anything but they don't really defend or rebound.

I'll be shocked if Baylor doesn't win the league this year. Keeping Jones and adding Jackson and Miller is a big plus.
