I'm rooting for OSU.
As you surf the OU b-ball message board. I can honestly say I have NEVER even thought about surfing an OSU message board while I'm watching an OU b-ball game. Never. I won't even look at porn during a game.

At this point in the season, an OSU win helps OU more than a Baylor win. It's always better for teams ahead of us to lose on the road to teams we are tied with or below us. The season is fluid and this is subject to change....but it's the general rule.

Well I'm one of those superhumans who can watch an OSU bball game on TV whilest simultaneously surfing multiple message boards (and porn of course) on my iPad.

OSU coming off a win would be better honestly. If they lost they would be desperate, maybe not as desperate as we should be though.

There's not much to figure out, IMO. There's 4 or 5 teams that could make a Sweet 16, and about 3 more than are first weekend exits from the dance. I don't see a FF team in the bunch, yet. KU has the highest ceiling. ISU is probably the best right now. We are far too inconsistent to make it to the FF, IMO, although we have the talent in our starting 5. IMO, 8 Big 12 wins likely gets you in as a 10 seed. I see 8 teams making it into the dance, and I'd feel pretty confident in saying that all 8 will be gone before the E8.

I doubt 17 total wins gets OU in. And who's the 8th team? I only see 7.

There just isn't much difference between KU, ISU, Texas, OSU, OU, Baylor, WVU and KSU. Tech and TCU are notably weaker. KU, WVU and ISU might be a little better but not so much that they can just pencil in wins against the other 5 teams, especially on the road.
I think 7 teams will make the tournament. My guess is KSU falls off a bit and there non conference performance puts them in the NIT.

This is my perception of the conference as well. I think as of right now the "middle" part of your standings is out of order. I'd put all of those middle teams a over osu, minus maybe KSU. But I think everyone except TT & TCU get atleast 8 wins and make it in the tourney.
I CANT wait for the big 12 tournament!

100% agreed! and how awesome is that?! I love them being good enough to be considered a "great win", but inconsistent/bad enough to where we can sweep them! Tuck Fexas!
Similar situation with OSU this year, we could potentially sweep both our rivals and really help our resume when it comes to seeding. I'm thinking that this is one of the reasons that bracketogists still have us as being a 5 seed or better.
