I was thinking the same thing.
In reading bits and pieces from the SI story this morning, there is no doubt that a large number of people, from professors and coaches to players and students were involved in the scandal at OSU when Les Miles was the head football coach. One story said that Mike Gundy was one of the assistants who took "the unusual step of personally interviewing candidates" for OSU's hostess program, "Orange Pride." Pride members are now saying that a small subset of the group had sex with recruits, a clear violation of NCAA rules.
True, there is no evidence to connect Ford to anything that happened before his arrival. My point is that if the climate for deceit and corruption existed when he took the job, it's not that difficult to believe that it might have continued, at least to some extent.
I've got a feeling this is going to get very interesting when the NCAA investigators get involved. No way they're going to ignore these accusations.

It's a little bit early to be saying that. There are 4 or 5 more stories yet to be published.
There's already 3 players who were interviewed saying Evans made everything up. Evans says he called Tatum Bell and Tatum denied ever taking money. Tatum Bell says he was never contacted by SI or Evans. This story is unraveling very quickly. Thayer Evans is a complete joke. His career is just about over after this one

Evans didn't write the article. Not one part of it.
The author is a Pulitzer Prize winner. He was on Gotleib's show today and said he has every conversation recorded and that no players were misquoted. Some UCLA player(s) tried to sue him for saying he was misquoted when the same author wrote that damning UCLA article. The judge dismissed the case when it was shown that Dohrmann had recorded all the players conversations.
But the typical Aggie spin machine ignores all that.

The writer of the article says he has Tatum Bell on tape.
Well. Bell is lying. He cheated and now he is lying. The two go hand in hand. Gundy, Holder, and Hargis haven't denied anything. They were playing fast and loose with the rules. They got caught. They need to pay.

Yup...this particular writer is above reproach from a journalistic perspective. Has always been stellar at his craft.

He (or whoever handles his twitter account) sent out a tweet saying he was disappointed in SI for not asking the most important question: what's happening now?

Yep.
There is no way in heck SI, and two professional journalists, including a Pulitzer Prize winner are going to make up a story like that. None.

To me, this story is eerily similar to what happened after the Miami scandal surfaced a couple of years ago. Players, former players and fans rushing to deny that there was any truth to the reports.
If the SI reporters taped the interviews they conducted, the subjects of those interviews can deny what was said all they want and it will not mean a thing.
In the end, some of what we have read and heard may blow over. But there is way too much smoke here to brush it aside as sour grapes from a few disgruntled former players with an ax to grind.

Great deflection, Booger! Of course, it a twitter or press release. No searching for a camera and a microphone like he usually does. He's about as scummy as they come IMO.
