Good that they got a 7 seed, avoiding the 8/9 game, but bad that a win earns them a matchup with what I feel may be the strongest 2 seed in the tournament (Ohio St).

I don't know man. I haven't seen another player in college basketball this year that can put a team on his back and carry them like Evan Turner can.

I actually think Oklahoma State matches up better with Ohio State then they do any other 1 or 2 seed they could play. They match-up well with Kansas too but obviously they couldn't play KU in the 2nd round. I'm not sure OSU can beat Georgia Tech though.

Yeah, the Georgia Tech matchup worries me.

They are similiar to Texas in that they have size across the board. Texas obviously gave OSU fits this year.

The only upside is that they do tend to turn the ball over a lot. They are ranked #305 in turnover%. OSU has done well this year when they've turned opponents over and scored points in transition. Generating turnoers typically will get Page and Muenelo more open looks from 3-point range.

In terms of Ohio State, they will obviously be tough, just as any #2 seed would be.

I'm actually glad we weren't paried against West Virginia, which poses the worst possible matchup for OSU.

Villanova is the weakest #2, and would have been a good matchup for OSU.

Any way you slice it, it's better than being 8/9. As good as Ohio State is, I think OSU will have a fighting chance for the win. I wouldn't have said that if we were an 8/9 paired against Kentucky or Syracuse, for example. Both of those are horrible matchups for OSU.
