Well, you've got to be excited about that half. We didn't close it perfectly, but even after their run they are still down 12.

If you'd have told me before the game that Buddy only has 2 points at halftime I'd have been very worried. Gotta be happy with a 12 point lead!

Anytime OU has a double digit half time lead and Buddy has two points, the opponent is probably in trouble.

Yeah. He struggled. Had a bad pass that was a turnover then had two shooting fouls in a row on defense. It always takes players time to adjust and usually big men have the longest adjustment period. I think he'll be fine, but he doesn't look ready to play meaningful minutes yet.

Butler has minor foul trouble. Three starters have two fouls and one bench player. Lattin Bennett and Spangler all have 2 fouls? Lattin and Bennett don't really matter unless OU loses them both.

A few thoughts on that half:

_Who said OU couldn't play defense? That was the best half of defense I have seen in sometime.
_Walker came up big in that half.
_Thomas is getting the ball more, and he's taking advantage of it. He can be a real asset down low as well as the inside-out game if given the opportunity.

On the negative side, aside from waiting too long to get the play started, why are we so bad at getting the last shot to end a half? :facepalm

He had a very nice half? One rebound, five points and was 100% from the floor. He did miss a free throw and had two fouls but I had zero problem when he got that block. He was very close to drawing the charge.
