OU and OSU: The new Nebraska and Colorado?

Missouri loses 4 of its top six players

I'm well aware of what MU is losing.

I'm also well aware of what MU will be bringing back and adding to the team.

Bowers (honorable mention All-Big 12; All-Big 12 defensive team), Keion Bell (averaged 16+ ppg at Pepperdine over three seasons, 19 as a junior), Earnest Ross (13+ ppg, 6+ rpg as a sophomore in the SEC) and Jabari Brown (high school all-American; consensus top 20 player in 2011 class) are four guys who should step into the lineup and make an impact immediately.

There's still a hole at center (we'll be counting on freshmen/juco players to play a lot of minutes inside), but there will be no shortage of talent and experience on the perimeter.

History is against you, Mizzou has never won 20 or more games in 5 consecutive seasons and this year marks 4 in a row.

If our team is lousy (OU), what's going to make these same players stars next season. I think the few fans left are way too optimistic.
Perhaps Kruger would have been in better shape if he started from scratch or saved a scholarship, Arent, or anybody else that couldn't contribute.
We look to be at least 3-4 players from being even competitive over an entire season regardless on how much other teams lose in seniors etc.
Some of those schools will reload while we sag with dead weight.

I am not saying these teams will suck, I just don't think they will be better next season and I think OU will be better. In fact I am positive OU will be better because OU doesn't lose anyone in the top 7

I don't disagree that OU will be better....but So will every other team in the big 12. I don't know much about TCU but the rest of the league should all be improved from their teams this year...maybe except for KU who will most likely not be a #1 seed but should still be pretty good with 3 solid seniors returning.

Baylor's a question mark, too. Even if they retain everyone but Acy and Jones III that will hurt their squad. Acy's the only player with any toughness on that team. TCU is worse than A&M and WVU should be a downgrade from Mizzou. I'm not doubting that the majority of the field will improve, but there will be some worse teams.

Of course, this also potentially hurts their squad:

Baylor still has a top PG and a quality backup. Their bringing in the 7'0 Austin who will be good from day one. Miller should be back. Morgan redshirted this year so he should be improved. They are still loaded from top to bottom. WVU will not be a downgrade from what Mizzou has returning. I expect WVU to be pretty decent next season. They have all but 2 players returning and they have too guys redshirting this season that should contribute right away.

This was the year to take advantage of a down big 12(from top to bottom) and we didn't do it.

On paper..Baylor will still have the best starting lineup and bench in the big 12.
