Just pulling something from thin air, but is Blake Griffin going to be the new GM? He and Trae recently merged their AAU teams. In addition, their new team is associated with Jordan Brand.

don't give joe C to much credit ... (i don't think they have any idea who the gm will be) and my understanding is this was all Trae not OU at all

As much as I love Blake and would be great to see him more involved with the program, not sure it should be as GM. Maybe another asst. GM or something.

I would prefer to get someone with roster creation and agent experience, like from the NBA or G League. Much like football got rid of a respected local alum in Curtis Lofton for someone else with "GM" experience in Nagy. Get someone that can do it alone from Day 1 that has some level of doing it previously.

Unless it's Daryl Morey or Nico Harrison. Don't need THAT experience.

Also, on the topic of college GMs, why has OU not tried to poach a front office person from the Thunder to come do so? Feels like that should be an easy sell. The Thunder are widely considered to have one of the best front offices in the business, we are seeing tons of NBA front office personnel taking college GM jobs right now, and you don't likely even have to pay for a relocation package.
