OU in the 2019 Hall of Fame Classic

Dumb question, perhaps, but what's the difference between the halls of fame in KC and in Springfield, Mass?

KC is the collegiate basketball hall of fame

springfield is the Basketball (all basketball nba, fiba, women, ect) hall of fame

The one in KC is specific to college basketball. They have some cool interactive displays as part of the experience there.

Will be interesting to see the matchups, I wonder if they would have us play MU in the first game or keep them on opposite sides.

And the barbecue is so much better.

lol sorry answered in your post

No apologies necessary, but you did blow my mind a little bit! :ez-laugh:

When I first saw Ada's post, I got excited because I thought maybe I could get up to Springfield for the games (as I did back in the '80s when Wayman and the boys got absolutely smoked by Syracuse in the Hall of Fame game).

Not to be picky but I remember we also got smoked by Illinois in the HOF game. I only recall OU playing Syracuse twice in the mid 80's, once in NY and once in Norman, but I have slept a lot since then.

As a Sooner in KC I'm excited for this. Mu should sell some tickets, but they are down, so it won't be anything close to competing with ISU, KU, and K-State for the Big 12 Tourney tickets

We played them when Tim McCalister was on the team and he was on fire. Later on he had a thing for water.

Looking at soonerstats.com, it appears you're correct. I have no idea how I got it into my head that it was Syracuse. I'd have bet six months' rent on it, I was so sure (good thing no one offered me that wager).

It was a terrible game, and my old roommate (also an OU alum) and I endured a long round-trip train ride to get there and back in one day.
