Easy Hoosier. Making someones top 6 does not make a coach a great recruiter. I think Kruger and staff can recruit and will show us that as they have more time but that was sure as hell not an example of it.

If being in the top 6 was a good as getting a player then Capel was a brilliant recruiter.

You just never know if the young guards & M'Baye tear it up.

Our chance is to convince Randle he can go on a Blake Griffin type run which is more special than Kentucky's annual reload.

Bingo. That's the only real grabber that we've got...

Were you alive when Kentucky won the National Championship last year?

They had a big man win the NPOY and go #1 in the draft

I know we were at the top of his list last year when Capel was here...b/c i read an interview that said he followed OU hard core when Griffin was here and that we were the team to beat.

Different coach recruiting him now but its good to know that Blake in an OU jersey left an impression on him. But its hard to not see him or anyone else who mentions Kentucky in their list to not go to Calipari U. Its amazing what Calipari is doing. I don't know what his secret is...and I'm not going to throw cheating out there...but he's doing something that is extremely shocking...

At this point enough of a snowball effect has been created at Kentucky that he is able to ride the wave. Cal got it going in Memphis and Kentucky just happened to be down. I do not recall the article for reference but I remember him saying something about not having to do some of the things in recruiting now that he had to do at previous programs. I am paraphrasing from memory but that was the general idea as I understood it. Kinda funny thing to say.

Calipari says some funny things. You could put together an NBA team of his Memphis and Kentucky recruits and it would be competitive.

I'm still counting on Jeff Webster being an advantage in the Randle recruitment. Because, basically, if R went to OU or Texas, Jeff could make the games. I think that's a big factor. But, where would Jeff rather drive to, a place where's he's adored or one where they hardly know him?
