********OU-Michigan State Game Thread********

How is it that a guy can run his head into your elbow in your shooting motion and it's a flagrant offensive foul?

Yeah, dude was reaching in grabbing cam and it's an offensive foul? Can should've been awarded the basket and 1. It was also a basketball move. Horrible call.

More like silly unforced turnovers, missed freethrows at crucial times and the complete lack of being able to take a charge but rather foul the opposing team instead of causing them to be guilty of the fouling. And to top it off, lacking bench play.

They did those things also. But, they finished when they took it to the hoop....we didn't. And it was not just Tyler. Woodard, Hield and Spangler came up empty several times.

The new rules suck, but it sucks far worse when they're unevenly applied. At least be consistent.

The way I look at this game, we were within 4 of the number 1 team on a neutral court. That means we should be able to beat anyone at home. That bodes well for conference play.

The last shot attempt by Spangler was horrid.

I never realized what a pompous a** Izzo is...screw him...If he is Kelvin's mentor, what a !@#$%^ mentor to have...

His comments going into the half were classless. His comments after the game were just as bad. What a jerk.

We still need to learn to play defense by moving our feet and positioning our bodies properly. All good defensive traited teams know how to take charges and we continue to put up 0'fers in that regard game after game.

If we had Mbaye tonight I think we win this game...but we don't so what can you do...but I think another big would've swung this our way...

Neal's play was a six point swing - missed shot, fast break bucket for MSU, and turnover and bucket. But that didn't cost us the game.

We are a young team, a very young team. To play this close to a seasoned team is great.

Only mistake we made that cost us the game was not attacking the rim more in the first half and in the second half once we were in the bonus. The new rules suck, but once you know the ref is calling them, you have to take it to them. We allowed their key players to play half of the second half with three fouls. The best defense this year is getting the other team in foul trouble.

3rd place in the Big 12 is there for the taking for these guys. Very impressed so far and they will only get better from here.

We are good enough to beat about anyone.

the fast start was nice. I was really happy ... but that can also be attributed to MSU playing horrid.

But the effort and heart displayed in the 2nd half were more. THAT was the best part of this game by OU. They hung in, they fought, they more than competed.

Good game.
