OU offers a high school guard for the late signing period

It's certainly not like we don't have a candidate or two who would do themselves and everyone else a favor by seeking a transfer. Sorry, just stating the obvious.

I doubt that we're going to have any transfers. Carl and Casey would seem to be the main transfer candidates, but they are entering their Senior years. I just don't see either one of them transferring, and I don't see Kruger forcing either of them out (by all indications they've had no adverse affects on team chemistry). T-Neal would be the only other candidate I can think of, and I highly doubt he'll transfer, for multiple reasons. Everyone else contributes enough that I think they'd stay unless they're unhappy with the direction the program is going.

An article in the Oklahoman still has Henry among the newcomers next year. If so, my math tells me someone on our roster has to be leaving to open up a ship.

Who? Arent is about the only transfer candidate I see. Carl Blair is goign to help this team next year as the backup pg.

If a guy really wants to play more than 1 minute per game, he may transfer to a smaller college for his SR. year. Who knows, maybe he would prefer to play more minutes his last year in organized ball. That would be my guess as to why a guy like Arent might transfer.

Fitz/Osby/Clark/Grooms/Pledger/Arent/Blair/Neal/M'Baye/Hield/Hornbeak
That's 11 on scholarship for next year. I'm with Denver, I don't see anyone transferring.

There is definitely 1 open for next year and Henry's slot would have to be the 2nd.

I'll tell you whats not impressive...not having any kids from the Nevada area considering us. They have Bishop Gorman and Findlay Prep there and thats the area where he came from. And those kids are always highly ranked.

Just keep keep clapping...It was a much better season than Capels. You should be stoked...You were right...We did so much better this year.

Why do you keep clinging to Capel, he is gone, and the coaching change was about more than this season (which of course was better than the last two). Plus its not about being stoked, its about positive instead of negative progress.

Just b/c you point facts out does not mean its clinging to Capel. As for this season being better than the last 2...WRONG. We finished 5-13(28%) this season in the big 12 while we finished 5-11(31%) in the big 12 last season and 4-12(25%) the season before. So technically...He only did better 1 season. And Capel did finish 6-10(38%) in his first year.

of course you are being quite selective in your criteria and I'm sure we would have won those extra 2 games last year. I judge OU's seasons (in all sports) by their overall record not their conference record, so yay we did improve, points for me!

Big 12 is where it truly matters b/c overall is where you get wins against coppin st, SMU, Liberty and big 12 is where you are truly having to compete against good competition night in and night out.

I understand the concept, and there is some validity to your point, but then again there are valid reasons to look at the season in its entirety as well.

I think if you look at individual games...sure but big 12 is where the minutes start shrinking for players. Arent overall 6.1mpg to just 3.5mpg. Neal 13.1 to 10.2mpg. etc...

The last 18 games against consistent good competition is a true indication on what the players are doing.

I heard a story Sid about you playing a round of golf (with cocktails after) with Joe C last fall out at Weschester Country Club. How was it and how did you shoot?
