OU posted some practice highlights

Thanks for the early look, OUHoops!

Sure would be nice if OU gives us more than a forty-five second teaser in the weeks ahead. I may not speak for everyone, but I'm as excited as I have ever been about the talent and depth on this team. My gut tells me they're going to be really, really good.

I'm with you. I was excited to see the video, but 45 seconds wasn't nearly enough. Fun, especially, to see TY in action.

The video was a great tease. They look to be working hard. TY assisted to James and Freeman a lot. I hope their FG% goes up significantly.

These are the worst two months of the year, with no decent sports on. You would think somebody would capitalize on this and fill the two month doldrums of summer.

I think Freeman is going to make a nice jump this season. By that I mean I believe he will be productive and efficient with the minutes he sees. I don't think we'll see as many empty minutes on the floor from him this year.

My prediction is 6-8ppg, 3-4Reb, 2ast, 35-36% 3pt, 40-41% FG.

I'm equally optimistic about Freeman's chances of improving significantly this season. When the season started last fall, Matt looked like he was going to be a stud. But he was obviously unable to maintain that momentum and he apparently lost his confidence.

I think we all saw enough, however, to know that the kid has ability. And players often improve exponentially between their freshman and sophomore seasons.

Agreed. Professional BB doesn't do it for me. I like golf and watch the last day or two of the PGA's best or most interesting tournaments. Beyond that, the summer months don't offer much excitement for fans like me who enjoy watching sporting events, unless the multitude of outdoor adventure and survival shows I DVR and watch later count for something.

Can't wait for the start of the season in November!

Luckily my Astros are killing it! I admittedly am a bandwagon fan of the Stros so most of the time I get bored fast. When the MLB season sets in I get depressed, sportswise, because baseball season is so long and I just don't enjoy it like I did when I was a kid. But man they are fun to watch right now!

Hopefully some on this board will come through with some kind of practice reports come July..

Looks like Trae and Freeman have a connection. That would be great!

If Freeman can develop develop defensively and on the boards and feel a little more comfortable in the offense, he'll be a major asset to the team over the next couple years.

I think the most surprising thing I've noticed so far is how much Brady Manek has grown. When I saw him in HS we all agreed he needed time in the weight room, but I never saw him as a big cause he was about 6'7 and soft. He didn't seem quick enough to play on the wing or bulky enough to play down low.

Now he's running around and looks about 6'9. He's taller than Doolittle in the videos, he's right in line with Lattin and Freeman. If his shot is still there and athleticism stays as he gains muscle, he is going to be a steal.

Interesting that the OU roster has him as 6'9 too, when every recruiting site had him at 6'7

Manek is a legit 6 9" and he is definitely stronger. Trae has put on a little muscle in his shoulders and chest. Doolittle is also more muscular.

James appears to be smaller... maybe he will be quicker.
Freeman needs to get stronger

It appears that the walkons are more athletic and bigger than last years group. This can only help.
