With Llanusa, Simpson, and Pellington committed to OU for 2017 it looks like it'll be a class of 3 maybe 4 if Rennia Davis who has a visit coming up in October was to pick OU as well... Not a highly ranked class, but rankings never tell the full story.

On to 2018 and it could be a promising class, there's a chance that OU could sign up to 5 recruits...

rigt now there's some pretty elite kids looking at OU

Don't like our chances on Nicoletti and Austin with both UConn and Notre Dame recruiting them but am very pleased to see us make the effort. It is for certain they won't sign with the Sooners until you pursue them diligently. Like our competition better on DeCosta with Duke, South Carolina, Baylor and Tennessee as the competition.

With Kentucky and Louisville both after Brown and UConn, Stanford and Louisville after Jarosinski it won't be easy getting either to Norman but it is encouraging that we are after the right kind of kids needed to elevate the program back to its previous level. Now we just need some successes.

Great to see us back in the mix with some elite kids... I would be crushed if she picked Baylor... I think Washington will be the biggest hurdle for any school to jump.

I saw a tweet from Bryce Nixon head coach. That OU offered the 2018 SG from Arizona.

54% from the field----yes
43% from three----yes

Good stats for a 5-9 guard.

56% from the line---work on it

Doesn't a score of 90 mean they haven't yet evaluated her?

Shakira Austin 6'5 post from VA has commited to Maryland...

Besides Veitenheimer. I like Cameron Rose Swartz from Georgia. I know a OU coach follows her on Twitter.

I see this every year: outstanding recruits mentioning OU early in recruiting and a few with OU in their later choices but NONE who wind up here. Or very, very few.

Decosta would be a big get for us, I think we have a chance if we can get her to visit... I think she really likes Louisville because her best friend is headed there, well have to see how it plays out...

Bryce Nixon is another player I thought OU would have a chance to sign but it looks like with the verbal of Murcer its possible she has since drooped OU.

Catherine Reese is a player OU should have a chance with, but it was reported that she had some issues with Mulkey in high school and wouldn't pick OU, so well have to see how that plays out as well...

a class of Decosta and Reese would be a step in the right direction for OU...

SC and staff are not great recruiters

A valid opinion if you look at the recruiting results. Recruiting has gotten somewhat better over the last 2-3 years but far from being on par with the top 5 programs in the country which is a requirement to consistently go deep into the NCAA tourney.

With the present recruiting profile Sherri uses I do not anticipate recruiting will get much better. But one can always hope.

No question Sherri is hurt somewhat by the AAU coaching situation in Texas. But when the going gets tough the tough get going. Something Sherri still has that to learn.
