**********OU-Texas A&M Game Thread**********

Spangler had a heck of a game on defense and rebounding. 13 boards(8 Def) and 3 Blocks.

I was just told that Cam,Jordan,Isaiha, and Ryan all have had a 24 hr virus

Gary said in one of his practice reports that even two of the assistant coaches had that bug. Jordan was obviously sick in the UTA game. I'm sure the other three got it later, which explains why they were off of their game tonight.

Really hard to watch that game from an aesthetic point of view, but nice win. 12-1 in non-conference was the best case scenario that was completely realistic.

Go 11-7 in conference and OU is dancing, 10-8 and they are likely dancing. Both realistic if there are no more injuries. Need to go at least 1-2 to start conference play though. Tough opening 3 games

The officiating sucked in this game. Absolutely sucked. One could no more get a handle on what was going to get called and what wasn't than the man in the moon. Neither team played very well, admittedly, but erratic, unpredictable officiating plays a role in that sometimes.

It almost seemed as if there were more charges called in tonight's game than in the rest of our games combined.

Yeah, the official made a game that was already hard to watch even worse. I don't think they were biased, they just struggled to find a rhythm. I don't think there were any especially terrible calls, just no consistency in how things were called. Hopefully we don't have to watch another game like that. Still, I'm excited about the win. Let's not get caught off guard coming off the christmas break and close out the non-conference with a win.

I agree. It seemed like they were officiating last year and not this year after the emphasis on calling the game as the rules state.

But I thought we really handled things well and for playing on the road against a pretty decent team and not playing our best game by far. Good win!

Just now finished watching the 2nd half....I had to record it. I like the ways the guys responded when the offense wasn't working as efficiently as it normally. Very proud of the defense. There were far less breakdowns in this game than in the previous two. A*M may very well suck this year, but it is still nice to go on the road and get a win when things aren't running so smoothly.
