• Oklahoma trailed for just three minutes and 13 seconds of regulation but lost 81-75 in overtime at Texas A&M. The defeat snapped OU's two-game winning streak and dropped it to 12-6 overall and to 2-4 in Big 12 play. Texas A&M improved to 11-7, 2-4.
• OU took a 39-38 lead with 17:26 left in the second half and didn’t trail again until overtime. The Sooners led by as many as eight points in the first half (28-20) and seven in the second (53-46).
• The Sooners shot .492 from the field against an A&M squad that was holding opponents to .351 shooting on the year entering the day. It was OU’s highest field goal percentage in defeat this year (previous high was .417 vs. Saint Louis).
• Texas A&M's .525 field goal mark was its best since the second game of the season.
• OU took a 65-62 lead with a minute remaining on Andrew Fitzgerald's conventional three-point play, and A&M's Elston Turner tied the game at 65 with 40 seconds left on a 3-pointer from the left corner. Steven Pledger's shot just before the buzzer was off the mark for OU.
• The Aggies scored at least one point on their final 10 possessions of the game (21 total points), including each of their eight overtime possessions.
• The loss was OU's first in overtime since dropping a 68-65 decision at Missouri during the 2004-05 season. The Sooners had won seven straight overtime games.
• OU was whistled for 23 fouls to Texas A&M's 14. The Aggies went 3-for-10 from the foul line in regulation but 9-for-12 in overtime. OU was 7-for-11 from the charity stripe on the day.
• Junior forward Romero Osby was 8-for-10 from the field and tied a career high with 18 points. It was his third 18-point effort in the last four games and fourth in the last seven. He has scored at least 15 points in each of the last four outings (averaging team-high 17.3 on .619 shooting during the stretch).
• Junior forward Andrew Fitzgerald scored in double figures for the 13th straight game, finishing with 17 points on 8-for-14 shooting. He also pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. Fitzgerald is averaging 15.2 points on .522 shooting over the last 13 games.
• After scoring one point at Texas A&M last season, junior guard Steven Pledger finished with 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals without a turnover in his 37 minutes Saturday. He drained all four of the team's 3-pointers (each in the second half) on 10 attempts.
• Junior guard Sam Grooms played 44 of 45 minutes and registered nine points (his most in Big 12 play) and a game-high seven assists against just one turnover. It was the seventh time this season he has recorded at least seven assists and the eighth time he has committed one or zero turnovers. Grooms is now averaging 5.4 assists per game and owns a 2.6 assist-to-turnover ratio, both top three in the league.
• Texas A&M outrebounded OU 36-35 after the Sooners held a 21-13 advantage at halftime. The Aggies secured rebounds four times after their own missed free throws, leading to six points.
• OU returns home to face No. 3 Baylor on Tuesday night at 7 CT. The Sooners are 9-1 at home this season and own a 37-8 overall record against the Bears.
