OU vs Arkansas St 7:30 11/22

OU 39 -32 Arkansas state

OU has cut down on the turnovers....only 7.

But getting outrebounded badly and getting only 4 free throws to ASU's 17.

We are up 39-32 at half. Only 4-18 from 3 that half. Also we fouled them too much getting outscored 11-3. Just a mediocre half for us. Need to get Madi more involved on offense in the 2nd half.

61-51 after Q3. We are only 4-24 from 3 now including 1-8 for TRob.

Is this the game plan?? Go down and chuck up a 3....and again,,,and again!!! 4 of 24 three's....Let's do something different...like take it inside and get some foul calls.....

Yeah....ASU had their big girl on the bench; why not go inside when we have the height advantage???

:OU-logo:

Up 19 now with 8 minutes left.

A run in the first 2 minutes and we go ahead 70-51. We got good minutes in the late 3rd and early 4th playing Culliton and Johnson together. They have combined for 17 points so far tonight.

Any particular reason Robertsons' 3 point shooting has fallen off so far this season"
Notice Svorda is getting little or no court time so far Has she been recruited over?

TRob made 2 3s in the 4th quarter to end up 3-10 and she is hitting 41.5% from 3 for the year. That is a little down from her career average but 1 good game would have her at her career average.

Johnson and Culliton are clearly ahead of Svoboda in the rotation.

I didn't listen to the post game.

What was the OU bench technical about???

Kennedy Tucker got hit in the face - not sure if it was an elbow - and the officials just ignored it. It happened right in front of the OU bench and Jennie wasn't happy about it.

I'm guessing some folks wouldn't recognize a game plan if it slapped them in the face. I'm sure Jennie's game plan was multi-faceted, but I'm also certain that it included wearing that team down by playing ultra fast and substituting liberally…

…and it worked to perfection!

I hope TRob finds her shot before conference play starts. We will need more than 2/3 out of 10 from her.

Taylor had a bad night against Utah BTA going 2/10 but for the season her shot is not that far from her norm. For the year she is 17/41 .415. For her career she has averaged shooting .441 BTA. Her best season ever was last year when she shot .444 BTA. Had she made 1 more shot BTA this year she would be shooting .439 and 2 more she would be at .463.

What is down is the number of 3 pointers she getting per game. This year she is averaging on 6.2 shots BTA. For her career she has averaged 8.6 per game with a high her 10.3/game her sophomore year.

Lets relax and watch TRob break the all time career record of 497 3 pointers by Kelsey Mitchell of Ohio State set in 2018. TRob currently has 463 and needs 35 to break the record which she should get in the next 10-15 games or around January 15-30 with the potential to make a 100+ more this season to finish with a career record of 560 or more.

TRob should finish her career making close to .444 of her shots BTA which would be second all time behind UConn's Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis's .447 among those top 3 point shooters. But TRob will have made close to 160 more 3 pointers.

TRob is apparently not listed in the all time list linked below because she has not finished her career. Also TRob is getting the advantage of a 5th covid year production which should allow her to play about 10 more games than the other leaders.
