OU vs. Baylor

On the bright side, llanusa can play against baylor. Maybe next year she will have some help.

Both Pellington and Llanusa become the 3rd and 4th most talented players on the roster in 9 months. It's going to make a massive difference.
Actual bench shooters will help a great deal.

Behind Veitenheimer and Williams? I agree, they will both be really really good. Llanusa will be a huge weapon if the defense has to worry about them.

I anticipate that Murcer and Robertson will add touch. Taylor is apparently a premier shooter.

If we have Ana, Shaina, Madison, and Tatum on the floor, we should have good bench shooters in Robertson and Murcer. Now, it comes to who can provide board strength from EJ, Mandy, Aspen, and Lampkin. Maybe, we'll learn to use guards rather than to work through the post when it isn't there.

Why did we get out of the zone, it work d fairly good first half. Theses players can not play man d.

Just watched the post game press conference. It seemed to me that SC was almost jovial about how the game went. While she, SC, pc'd what she was saying about what happened, she was clearly throwing the seniors under the bus. Gabbi, sitting next to her looked like she would rather be anywhere on the planet than beside SC. Her, Gabbi, body language and facial language clearly was not on the same page as SC. JMO

I didn’t see it early she seemed to be accountable for her poor shooting. Towards the end i think it was just an annoying look from having to hear it again. I would just like to see the ball back in Ortiz Hand put Shaina on the baseline and allow her to drive baseline and get backside cuts from overloads. I think there needs to be consistency and this team has had more lineup changes role changes than most in one season.

I watched the press conference, and that is just total and complete fabrication of what happened. Nothing you stated is remotely close to the truth.

Sherri didn't seem jovial and at no point did Gabbi seem like she was on a different page than her head coach.

This team has enough flaws you don't need to make up ones that don't exist.

+1

Can't believe that we can look so good for 15 minutes and then nothing. I think we only got one or two open shots the second half. All the others were not even hope shots, more like wish shots. Probably a number of good adjustments by Mulkey at half time. But our half court offense was abysmal in the second half.

She is a very good x's and o'x coach but typically in the post game interview on the court she said that Kelani had to learn that the other guys will flop. Sure Kim, they do flop after a stiff elbow to the face.

The official who called a foul on Vivi on that play got embarrased on national TV on that call. ViVi didn't move a muscle but replays aren't allowed to void such a bogus call.

Yep.

Mulkey is disgusting. Lauren Cox is spoiled brat and I completely understand now why she wanted to play for another spoiled brat.

I don’t know if i don’t watch cox enough or if i just don’t pay attention unless she plays ou but every time she does she has a major attitude. Nothing wrong about getting pumped when you do something good but quite another to throw a player to the ground she did thT to Ana. Plain as day. More than an ordinary foul. But it’s part of the game that some are allowed to get away with. As far as Kim ...no i won’t. But i could

I stayed to the bitter end. Look, I know we were outmatched before the game. I loved the way we played the first 15 or 16 minutes. That is a team I can get behind 110%. Baylor clearly didn’t focus on the game and we took advantage. I thought, this is going to get tough because Mulkey is going to get in their grill. It will be a different team in the second half.

But I was too optimistic. For some unfathonable reason, SC put a group out on the flor for the final 4 minutes of the half that was totally outmatched. The result, we trailed by 3 at the half. You knew it was over.

We can make excuses for the 2nd half. The reality - Baylor is all about competing to the end. OU’s squad isn’t. Baylor made the Sooners look like a high school team. Now let me be clear, Baylor isn’t a great team. I doubt the sniff the Final Four. But they are a quality team with better athletes than OU.

Ana was our hottest shooter. Then she went several minutes without taking a shot. We came out the second half concentrating on getting the ball to Vivi. We stopped shooting from the outside, started passing around the perimeter until it was too late or getting blocked underneath. Why wouldn’t you do what is working. We also shifted out of a zone defense that had been effective.

Perhaps we should consider a good half to be a moral victory. But let’s be honest, this isn’t worth a million a year. No reasonable person would argue it is. Good sense says let somebody else pay her that kind of money for that kind of product. This is a problem with Title IX if the AD doesn’t expect results.

Though not a factor, the refs were really bad in the first half. I saw a number of missed calls and a few outright blown calls.

Since the Fall 2010, OU WBB is 1-14 versus the Baylor Bears. We’ve score 999 points to their 1277 points, for an average loss of over 18.5 points per game.

Today’s loss was by the most, eclipsing last year’s 34 point loss. The trend isn’t good.

What would happen to a football coach who was 1-14 against Texas? We’ll never know because he’d be fired long before he had that record.

I said, JUST MY OPINION there big-un. You're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine. So, WHATEVER. I assume you know what whatever means.

OU 22 points in first quarter, 30 points the last 3 quarters. OU 26.8 FG%.
Baylor 47 boards OU 29. Enough said.

Baylor's starters are an average of 3" taller than ours......rebounds are going to favor Baylor. Trying to shoot over the same players is going to affect your shooting percentage.

We have too many players with holes in their games.......Good coaches figure out the other team's weaknesses. Unfortunately, we have a lot of them.

We have 2 more seasons to close the gap with a bevy of supposedly great/promising new kids coming in.

I’m going to stick with Coale and the team throughout that time to see what develops, but the truth is Sherri would already have been fired if her name wasn’t SC, the birth mother of OU WBB success

Some of us are spoiled and want to see OU get back to a top 2 finish in the BIg12, but every year Sherri can keep us in the top 4-5 of the conference... Sherri gets her team to the postseason every year and a top half finish in conference, that’s successful for most coaches around the country, I can’t see her being let go and I don’t think she has done anything to be let go at this point in time...
