OU vs SMU 7pm 11/30

28-9 at the end of Q1. We pushed the pace and played the quarter like we wanted. I think we shocked them with our offensive aggression

43-33 at half. We got playing too fast in Q2 and made too many turnovers. We also had a cold shooting quarter. 13 for Madi, 12 for Ana and 8 for Taylor.

We went 5-15 shooting in Q2 including 0-7 from 3s. 8 turnovers…got to play better that that.

By the way no Skylar Vann tonight.

51-43 at under 5 minute timeout. Madi picked up her 3rd foul and has had to sit. We can’t get Taylor a shot and rest of the team has gone cold and we continue with turnover problems. We miss Vann’s bench scoring.

Didn't catch why Skyler didn't play.

Some excellent moments, some not so excellent but this team can score and opponents have to score to beat us.

26 turnovers and several obviously dangerous passes with little hope of connecting. Also too many quick treys from shooter not hitting.

12 rebound edge but 13 turnover differential. We won because we shot better than they did. Taylor mostly responsible for that. I recalled that some wondered if she could play in Jennie's offense. Think she has answered that question. She is improving on driving on the face guarders but she should put up more mid-range shots. She is real money with that floater.

Got to keep Maddie out of foul trouble and on the court. Kelbie has to let the game come to her more while staying agressive.

Thought the defense started out real strong and then we seemed to back off a bit. Van could have helped maintain our intensity.

Fun team to watch. Mississippi State will be a real test.

In post game interview with Jennie reason for Skylar not playing was generically described as an injury.

I agree with SoonerinNC analysis above. When we can get Taylor shots the offense is fine in the half court. SMU was face guarding her and doing everything they could to keep her from getting shots. Madi is our 2nd best choice to get shots in the half court offense but she only played about 5 minutes in the 2nd half due to foul trouble.

Watching how fast T-rob catches the ball and gets her shot off from three is a thing of beauty. Deadliest shooter in all of college basketball in my opinion....

I really enjoyed go to the game and getting to see the team in person. They were fun to watch in front of more OU fans than SMU and Coach Jennie looked awesome! Hopefully Skylar can get better soon because we could have used her. Didn’t see Gabby on the bench so hopefully she was at home getting better.

DRob (75/48.00%) has taken far more shot BTA than anyone else among the top 100 players in shooting percentage BTA. The second place person has 59 a 40.68% shooting percentage, second with 57 made 42.11%, 3rd with 55 made is shooting 41.82%.

But DRob ranks only 3rd nationally among girls with 50+ makes. #1 51 makes/54.90%, #2 51 makes 50.98% and #3 DRob 75 makes/48.00%.

There are 4 girls in the ranking making more than 60% of their shots BTA but none of them has more than 28 makes and the leader at 68.18% has only 22 makes. I strongly suspect were they to have 75 makes their percentage makes would be less than 50%
