OU vs UF home and home

I still haven't recovered from Florida's last visit to Norman.

Shaping up to be another very good schedule that will give us ample opportunity to earn a tournament berth. As always, great scheduling work by Lon and Shep.

ESPN really hyped that up as Brent Musberger's send off game and Dickie V was alongside him. We put up a complete dud of a game in front of maybe 3,000 quiet fans. Y I K E S

Who do we know for sure?

Florida, Arkansas, Washington, Xavier, whoever we play in the SEC Challenge, plus three games in the Diamond Head Classic. I might be forgetting another one that has been announced. That would leave four or five more noncon games.

Tough schedule.

How un-Dangerfield.

of course you wouldn't

Multiple funny parts to this thread. One, every year the pessimists on here complain that we schedule too tough and that it will cost us, and yet every year, our noncon performance is what gets us in the tournament. Second, isn’t great how Gibson gets so many flattering comments on here? Poor guy better realize that once he actually takes the court for us, he will immediately be bashed for all the things he doesn’t do well! It really is incredible how people seem far more inclined to see the negatives in their own players, while finding the best in guys on other teams.

Without Gibson I wouldn't bet on OU to beat Washington, Arkansas, Florida, or Xavier.

I'm not well-versed in their incoming classes, but I don't see any of those as unwinnable. Last year we were significantly better than each of those teams, with the exception of UF, who was of similar quality. In those 4 games, the over/under would be 2 wins. I would definitely take over.

Is Creighton and/or Wichita State still on our schedules moving forward?

Don’t think the WSU series has been extended and I think last season was the end of the Creighton home-and-home. I like playing those regional series against good teams, I think we’ll probably keep scheduling those as long as the current staff is in place.
