We're the same team as last year, with the same strengths and weaknesses. We'll beat some good teams, and get blown out by others - those with size (KState) or those who outshoot us badly (Notre Dame). I like our chances in close games because we have Madi and TRob and no one else does, and our turnovers will give us more close games than we want. Sweet Sixteen is our ceiling.
Agreed for the most part. So frustrating to see this many turnovers when we have so much experience! Does this mean they just won't ever cut down and get better on these weaknesses? I think so. If you aren't better on year 5-6, you probably won't ever be. I have a feeling this season will be a letdown, compared to last season. I look at our schedule, and with how we're playing now, I don't see us winning 25+ games, unfortunately. I see us winning 20 games max before post season. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we make the S16!! Hope I'm wrong and we surpass my expectations, but these seniors aren't used to/and perhaps incapable of handling major success, so I'm probably correct.
We have better depth than last year…but are still trying to develop consistency playing together. The freshman posts have talent but are adjusting to play against the taller better athletes…how much help they provide this year isn’t clear.
But I think our play can really jump if Ana can get her level of play back to last year before the ACL. She is not herself yet..hopefully she will find her form in the next few weeks.

You are absolutely correct about Llanusa. Washington is not the answer, either. Reyna Scott is a better player right now than Washington.Forgive me, and nothing against the courageous Llanusa, but she isn’t the answer to our problems. In fact she’s often guilty of adding to them with her I’ll-advised long distance shooting.
Maddie and Taylor are doin g their best. Tot has really grown and I think is a solid, often-great point. The post, as always is a glaring weakness, despite Liz’s scoring stats from the last couple of games. She is a weak rebounder, IMO and doesn’t get the best position as has been noted.
I am surprised that the other bigs haven’t added much at all. Thant’s really disappointing.0

Yes. Scott can be Another Van in her own way, I believe!
