OU vs Utah

Utah plays Boston College tomorrow. We get them on Saturday. Realtimerpi has us at #257. They aren't impressed by our schedule.

Vivi and Peyton with 14. Kay Kay with 11. Maddie was 0-3 from three and 1 of 11 total. Did have six assists. She was feeding Vivi.

guessing we might not have anything if not for that....can listen on radio and watch but imagine that might not match-up time wise

I have never used periscope and it won't download on my phone, tablet, or laptop....strange.

maybe when I update from 8.1 to 10 later today

SO, do you use periscope? See it used by people on twitter following the BLM protests but hadn't gotten around to trying to use. Just curious if anyone has much experience with it.

Glad to see Vivi hitting. Think the younger players will improve quickly, just need to adapt to change of players....no Gioya, no Sharane.

Haven't looked at stats but I expect Ton'a and LaNesia to settle in and contribute more this year on a consistent basis.
 
Personally, I would really like to see us pound the ball to Vivi and Kay Kay. I think Vivi has the potential to be a dominant player someday.
 
Would love to see us play an entire game like we did the fourth quarter.
 
Nice win for the girls. Vivi looked excellent on the highlights.

I expect the confusion on the part of so many is this: Vivi is from a country with a French background. Her name would never be pronounced "Louis" in French. We often Americanize people's names and that may explain the "Louis" pronunciation.

I always prefer using the pronunciation used by the person in their home country. Often people get embarrassed by people messing the name up and even accept a mis-pronouncement to avoid correcting so often.

An example is the way folks mis-prnounce easy words like "Budapest, Hungary".
 
We got out rebounded again today. Maddie only had 2 which is really bad for a 4. If Sherri doesn't get this fixed, it is going to bite us against better teams.
 
A key feature to this game. Potter is good. She entered the game scoring 20 ppg with 13 rebounds per game. In this game, she was 15 and 6. Our two posts were 25 and 9. She was also a 62% shooter. She was at 56% today. Our posts were at 60%.

I'm not sure she knows how he pronounces her name since she is on the court when he is on the air.

The last time this came up, Maddie had 12 in the next two games. It wasn't her job to rebound. Sherri was pleased with her contributions. Said so. I'm more interested in the fact that she took 11 shots when she wasn't hitting. Usually, she stops when she misses. I want her to take at least 11 in every game.
 
Really glad to see us take care of the ball as we limited turnovers to 12. Hopefully that continues.

He's a professional broadcaster - he's certainly smart and good enough to know the players names. He travels with the team, and he's had plenty of chances to talk to her. Sweetest OU Girl had the reason he's right and you guys are wrong.
 
I thought Kaylon and Vivi played brilliant games. Really strong in the post and scored when called upon. I liked the fact every time Utah would get close, we always had an answer to hold the lead. With very few exceptions, the kids did a nice job of taking care of the ball and sharing. Not the prettiest win, but a very solid one. 26-12 on turnovers was the factor, and getting to the line. Looking forward to Saturday.

Early last year, we lost this type of game in the islands.

I don't see Vivi talking to him and approving his pronunciations, but could be wrong. I hear mispronunciations often in women's sports.
