The announcer just said Maddie is injured?

Foot injury. Listed as day to day. Per OU Twitter.

I didn't think about that when I saw that she hadn't started. I remember now she was injured in the Texas game. I was afraid then it might interfere with her play.

10 points in a quarter. Well, anyone who knows anything about basketball knew we were going to have a really tough time tonight.

This year, I never have a clue how OU is going to play. Something needs to change for this to be a successful season.

This year, Baylor, Texas, and WVU are bad match ups for us...

We would be in the Tech, TCU, Kansas class without Maddie. WV is much better that we are tonight. Vivi is the only bright spot. Carter would be if she would quit turning it over.

Jeckyll and Hyde team. We need all Hyde for the rest of this second half. One of Gioya's turnovers came after she stole the ball, that isn't unusual. Just listening I don't know but I think she is a bright spot. Also, with her second half start maybe she gave Peyton and the rest of the team a lift. EDIT: to add Gioya has 3 steals to 2 turnovers......

Terrific fight this second half. I just don't understand why we can't get going from the tip.

Turnovers are a big factor.

Depending upon how well gioya plays now that she seems to be getting back to her old self, I believe we would still be as good without Maddie, especially if Peyton returns to her old game. Not that I want to find out. Also, not sure that Vivi shouldn't be getting more time.

Looks like Stu has found her rhythm tonight. That is how you break out of a slump.

Happy for Peyton tonight. She's breaking out of the slump tonight in the second half -- hopefully.

Very good win! Not sure why we don't play pressure defense more. Great second half by Peyton. Gioya looked much better.

Woof- Nail Biter. Good game for not having Maddie.

Great Game outta Petyton! She does that the rest the way we'll be in great shape...

I remember Billy Tubbs saying he liked to make defensive changes in the second half rather than the first half because the offense didn't have as much time to make adjustments. I suspect that's especially true when the offense has lots of inexperienced players.

When Peyton finally broke out, she did it in style. We had almost nothing going for us, and we needed that second half. She was as good as I have seen her in the second half.

Without Maddie, we have a bit of a problem. T"Ona and Gabbi aren't offensive threats out of a set. We either have to score from the post or from three.

We shot 37.9%, 23.1% from three (hit only three), had eight fewer rebounds, and won. Turnovers: WV 31 OU 21. Thirty-one will get you beat.

The ball just don't move as well if Maddie isn't in the lineup. She is the X-Factor. We scored 57 points on a night where Peyton got 22? Something was missing, however, we can manage without her until she gets healthy. I think maybe this break could be good for Maddie as well, get her away from the grind for a minute- let her come back w a fresh mindset.

But she makes everyone better. I just can't wait until we start seeing some consistency out of all of them, hopefully it happens around March because I want to see what the they can do, if it happens this season.

Next game is in Ames. Somehow, I think Maddie will be healed at home.
