Our back ups

It’s always about making shots. But when I see the following, I can’t help but be concerned:

McGusty...........3 points
Freeman...........0 points
Shepherd..........0 points
McNeace...........0 points
Doolittle............0 points
Lazenby............0 points
Polla.................0 points

When players of that caliber go scoreless, it’s usually due to a lack of effort. I included McGusty because he’s a lot better than three points a game.

I do not seeing us winning one game on our schedule with those bench point numbers. Yikes! This team is supposed to have depth. I just hope this is just a January swoon and we'll get back to playing better basketball ASAP.

You're right about McGusty. We need the 2016-2107 Kam...like the one that played at TCU early this month. The 2016-2107 Doolittle would be nice as well...these guys shouldn't be regressing.

I think McGusty is the one guy on the roster who isn't well equipped to play with Trae. Guys like James, Manek, Odomes, McNease and Lattin fit very well with Trae. They can't create their own offense, so benefit tremendously from what Trae can do.

Kam, on the other hand, is not a spot up shooter. He needs the ball in his hands, and that's just not going to happen with Trae playing 40 minutes per game. He should resume a more normal role in the offense next year, assuming he doesn't transfer out.

Agree 100%.....and all of his metrics reflect your statement. I do think he could be "the guy" when Trae is getting rest because Kam can create his own shot and he is a decent slasher. He does have an issue finishing at the rim because he is so small....but I do like his attitude in that he has the confidence to even try it.
