Parker elimanated OU

OU would still need another backcourt player or even two. With four guys you are an injury away from not having a bench player. Additionally, I think a team wants a bench to push the starters.

I would note that OU would still have Cam Clark and Tyler Neal for 2013/14 but I think OU still needs another player or two. OU also needs to focus on forwards.

Kruger is trying to recruit over Tyler Neal.

I don't mean this as a slight towards Neal, but that shouldn't be that hard. I fully expect a couple of the new guards this year to steal minutes from him, and it'll only get worse going forward.

Unless Neal makes some really strong strides this offseason, the writing is on the wall.

Agree!!!

Recently heard Clark is falling in love with the Kentucky's of the world. Hope it isn't true....... Take it for what it's worth, but the person who I talked to is pretty reliable with Oklahoma Prep info, and he doesn't spout off much. He is hearing Clark is getting interested and intrigued about playing on a large stage like Kentucky or several others would offer.

Still praying we get him!!!! I haven't wanted a specific player so much in a long time. I just have that feeling he is going to be a rare breed of star.

I'm not sure what beast you're talking about in regards to Cam Clark. He's a great athlete, but he will never be more than a decent bball player. I think he might lose tons of minutes the next couple years as well.

Was afraid of this. Clark is plenty good enough for those upper echelon teams, hope LK's early love will pay off.

I wasn't sure they liked him until now. I am thrilled that he is getting that type of attention. By all accounts he is a great kid.

I think your wrong. I'm not saying he will be great but the kid has 2 years left and a lot of time to get better. He has a lot of potential. As for his minutes...I think he will still get 28 plus mins a game.

Not to defend parker, but couldn't signing 3 wings be a referent?

One of Hornbeak/Cousins will end up playing a lot of minutes at the pg spot, even if we sign a kid like Clark. That leaves the other one, and Hield for the 2/3 spots (out of the young guys). PLENTY of minutes to go around.

Yea, telling these 6'4 guards they'll be pgs is like when football coaches tell the 4.2 speed spread qbs in high school that they're going to compete for the starting spot against Johnny All American. I think they'll be wings and especially in 2013 when they'll likely bring in two pgs, they'll probably be full time wings. Idk. We'll see though.

I would agree with you if they were scoring guards but both Hornbeak and Cousins are pass first and well rounded guards. I think they will be on the floor together a lot in the future because they seem to be interchangeable.

I see your point, but you can't put a bunch of pass first, somewhat limited offensive guys on the floor at the same time. That's the problem we kind of have now. Aside from one distributor, the guys that can score it the best without being completely terrible on defense will play the most. JMO.

who said these players cannot score? Both can score when asked to do so and they both are good shooters. the biggest problem OU has right now is that only one guard can shoot from the outside.

what i like most about both players are that they seem to get their points within the flow of the game instead of having to jack up a bunch of shots and they are well rounded offensively and defensively.

these are the players who are going to get 12 - 16 points, some assist, a couple steals and a few rebounds a night but will mainly go unnoticed because a player like Hield will score 18 - 20 points a night and get all the glory because he's the leading scorer.
