Pitching transfer

Gasso strikes again!! Wonder if we could persuade her to recruit for the football team.

The problems are that: 1.) there would be no release, 2) if they were good enough to recruit as transfers, they would have been drafted. Male sports are different. Can't even do this in women's basketball.

Great pick up! Winning national championships has advantages.

No, but it would be interesting to know why here, same with Payton.

There is a difference and some context.

1. Peyton has to sit out a year.

2. Kelsey Stevens (Stanford) and Shelby Pendley (Arizona, PAC 12 POY or FOY?) did not have to sit out a year.

Basketball and softball are apparently different. It is curious that our transfers are from the Pac 12, and we spend a lot of time out there every year.

The PAC 12 used to rule the roost in Softball, but that is not the case any more, so players that went there to win championships are now transferring here for the same reason. Especially if you're a pitcher and see an opportunity. OU is close to the same situation in softball that UConn, Tennessee and Stanford are in WBB.

Do basketball players transfer to UConn? This is a bit different in that they can without appearing to lose eligibility or time.

A lot of basketball players transfer every year even though they have to sit out a year.
