Seriously, explain the OU system to me.

I can do it for the football team. I can do it for Switzer's football team. I can do it for Tubbs' teams. I can do it for Sampson's teams. I can do it for KU, OSU, Missouri, etc. I have no clue what OU is trying to do.

Perhaps if I could at least grasp this concept I could support Capel.

Well he wants to run a 3 out 2 in motion-based offense. Ideally, his 4 is a guy who can step out and shoot the three.

Here is his explaination that he gave for EA sports:

I've been wondering the same thing lately... That video was of great help, appreciate the info!

I have no sound on the windows side of my computer due to bootcamp issues/driver issues so I can't listen to that.

What is his defensive system?

3 out 2 in sounds like three guys jacking 3 pointers with the PF occassionally stepping out and jacking a three pointer. If that is what he means, then I can see that in his coaching and compliment on implementing just such a strategy. Now OU just needs to drop to a men's rec league and I think they might win a championship with that system.

How can it sound like anything...you didn't listen to it. Numerous systems work, have to have the particulars to fulfill roles. That falls on Capel's shoulders.

I like how in the video he's talking about the offense being most effective when you have five guys passing, screening and cutting... and the video is showing five guys standing around watching the guy with the ball.

That is funny, true and sad at the same time.
