The media, coaches and RPI all like the Big XII a lot. Six teams in the human top 25 polls. Five in the RPI with a sixth at 28 and 8 teams in the top 50.

When the NCAA rolls around, I hope this stuff is accurate because if it is, several teams in the Big XII should do quite well in the tournament.

I've said this in other threads, but I think K-State has a decent shot at becoming the 7th team from the Big 12 into the tournament. They're currently 14-9 with 4 games left vs. TCU (x2), @ Tech and OSU. They also get Baylor, Kansas, and Texas in Manhattan. They're currently 38 RPI and 42 in BPI and KenPom.

They probably need at least one more "good" win, but with that remaining schedule, I think they could easily finish the regular season with 19 or 20 wins and a computer profile inside the top 50. I think it would be hard for the committee to ignore a Big 12 team with that kind of resume.
