Ok, I'm sure most of us have coached, played....some ball or we wouldn't have the knowledge I see.

Also, love the guys...they represent OU well, give their best and am very glad they are at OU.

Still have a shot at winning b12...b tough but it's a 5 team race

With that said...and no, it's not because OU lost, it's been obvious for the season, I don't think the odds that this team will win the NC is very high.

You've got, 6 games?, to win it. Most of the other contenders have more of an offensive presence in the post. I'm thinking we should win 1st two games, getting to sweet 16, it'll get tough from there.

I just don't think our guards can do it...not a knock on them...just see it that way...it will b interesting to see how the rest of the league defends us.

Please add, but don't complain about being negative...reality (in my eyes) isn't negative. If u think differently why?

The most worrisome thing to me is defensive rebounding - we are the team we are at this point and it works well for our offense but we can't let teams control the boards like we've seen recently. Way too much standing around and not anywhere near enough blocking out.

People here also need to not worry so much about possibly winning it all/making a final four and just enjoy the ride. We have some limitations that will make it difficult to really make a huge run in the tourney unless we just catch fire (which we all hope happens). Doesn't change the fact that this team has a great bunch of guys on it who play for each other and are damn good + fun to watch.

Totally agree...missed the rebounding.

I agree, I'm enjoying (sometimes not so much during the game...lol) the ride.

Honestly I'd love an NC in ball before I die...lol. Living in ku country sucks during basketball...good is I enjoy sports all year.

Our post players are who they are. Can't change that.

Our D is another story. We get beat off the dribble far too much and when that happens and everyone starts to help it leaves guys open and also leaves our D more susceptible to offensive rebounds.

Every team has issues/warts. Ours are smaller and less important than almost anyone else. We are what we are and that is a very good basketball team. The only REAL issue we have is defensive rebounding. It's rate limiting for the NCAA tourney, IMO. We can get away with giving up some offensive boards in the 1st 2 rounds. After that, teams will eat us alive. Lattin, the guards, AK, and Buford have toughen up, block out, and dig out boards. Ryan is a warrior on the glass but he can't do it by himself. Seems sometimes he's fighting off 2-3 guys on the defensive glass.

I think the officiating had some influence on this. Calls got very tight at times and either we didn't adjust well or I suspect the calls were pretty uneven.

Yes...good points. Not saying we can't make it, heck wsu made it to the final 4...it'll b tough. We are top 10 for sure..but those 10 are pretty good

Not to argue or anything but we're headed for a #1 seed, maybe the overall #1. I think we're definitely a top 2-3 team in the country.

Actually OU 26 ksu 19 fouls...with prob 5 including cousins tech...in the last minute. So, about even.

Ft though, OU 17 ksu 30 attempts. We missed several key ones late, gave up 2 off boards on ft..one was a tip in.

I'd agree IF we win out...if we win reg big 12 or tourney. Unless wv wins league and not ku...if ku wins league they'll jump us. Just my 2 cents.

I had more of an issue with calls NOT made. The fact officiating isn't an excuse and I shouldn't have mentioned it. We needed to rebound better and make shots, period...

Definitely possible...

OU reminds me of Villanova with Scottie Reynolds.

Three terrific guards but the lack of a consistent post scorer makes the margin for error small.

Lattin's foul trouble tonight was key. He's not a great scorer but he does plenty of other things that Manyang and Buford don't.

Modern college basketball is very guard-centric. I don't think all the other good teams are getting as many post points as you think.

Post play is important but I'd rather the posts set effective screens. We should have had a plan B when tour opponents are selling out to stop our three-point shooting. We worked too hard trying to get open for threes while they gave us the driving lanes for the taking.

We should have been driving so hard a few of their guys would have fouled out in the first half.

The screens really bothered me during the game. There were so many times the post was rolling on the screen before even making contact with the defender. A screen does no good if you aren't going to make contact and slow down the defender. Good news is this is easily correctable with are screener paying more attention to details.
