I remember. Angelo Hamilton sick, sick 360 on a breakaway. And vitale actually got upset! It took incredible talent and nuts to pull off that dunk in a game and at Cameron Indoor no less on national tv. But Dick was mad! I still remember it and can't believe it. Let's just put it this way... Vitale LOVES Duke.

The reason I didn't let that bother me is because he's clearly a Duke fan. They don't call him "Dukee Vee" for nothing. To his credit, he has said some good things about OU in the past as well. He used to call Billy Tubbs "The Judge" because he ruled on his home court...yes, 2 losses in 7 years deserves some mentioning.

However, the last time Dickie V was so hyped about OU in December was the '87-'88 season. While it was a backhanded compliment, I would have to agree we deserved it from years' past. His comment was something like this: "Who is this Mookie Blaylock? The guy I amazing!...and they're now playing defense in Norman! They could be a very dangerous team come March, baby!!"
