Last season practice was most always at 2:00 mon. - fri. It could have been at a different time on Sat.

Watchers were instucted to enter thru the south tunnel door. Most practices were in the the practice facility which is just on the right as one gets in the LNC.

The players were mostly all on the floor from 1:30 just shooting or mayby a small group or individual instuctruction with one of the asst. coaches. Casual, nothing really structured. About 5 or 10 min. till 2:00 Kruger walks out. If he spotted someone he thought was there for the 1st time, he walked up, intoduced himself and thanked them for coming. He moves on quickly from visitor to visitor and then mayby to an individual chat with a player or two.

At about straight up 2:00 Kruger started clapping his hands as a signal for the team to huddle up. No whistles in the gym. I was alittle surprised about that. The 1st 10 days or so alot of the early portion of practice was devoted to conditioning drills. He turns it in to a competition by running them against a clock. The kids were in shape last season.

Monday's were alittle different. That was film day. Players would leave the court at 2:00 and go upstairs for 45-60 min. They would come back down and practice would proceed. Last season for that time, James F., the coach's nephew, and M'Baye were kept on the court with Coach Hill for individual and shooting drills. After watching a few of those, it was easy to get high on M'Baye. I don't know how much help he will be as time goes along. But, Kruger's nephew is not void of skills. He is bigger, stronger, and just plain better than James F.

My impression was that practices were planned in advance, broken into segments, and well run. At 5:00 practice was over. The players dispersed themselves through what crowd that was there to introduce themselves and thank everyone for coming. Some days a pretty good sized group would show up. Mayby 20-25. But, alot of days it would only be 4-5.

Thanks. Good info but do we know if that is the plan for this season? Is 10/15 the first week of practice?

Gary, maybe you or someone who attends practice on a regular basis can give us an update on the times, as well as your thoughts on the players. There seems to be a lot of excitement this year, so I feel sure that a practice report for those who can't be there will be greatly appreciated. I know it's something I would look forward to.

To my knowledge that is still the planned time for practice. The first day of practice is 10/12

If Gary doesn't want / wants to tag team this, I'll be there most MWF practice and would be happy to write up a quick synopsis afterwards

Seems like a weird time for practice. It'd have been nearly impossible for me to NOT have a 2:00pm class at least a couple of days a week, with my major being what it was.

ks, by all means add your two cents when you can. It will actually be better to get more than one perspective on how you guys see the season playing out, based on your observations in practice. I'm hoping to be in a position to attend a practice or two myself.

Nearly every athlete has 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30 classes. If they can't get in in during the morning=night classes.
