i think it's too early to say
lots of if's on this team. we may have an uphill battle after our noncon, just depends on early season chemistry

Because of our youth and "unknown" variables, I think it's a fairly accurate and conservative take as of now.

6 teams in the tourney Kansas is obvious pick to win the conference. But I could think of scenarios were any of the other 5 could finish 2nd

basically, i would take an NCAA bid right now. no questions asked. i like the idea of being better than 10...but i think Woodard is going to take a beating at the point and we'll have some night struggling from the floor shooting on the road especially in conference.
i went to a practice a month ago and James looked great, Odomes is athletic....Lattin was a real leader...and a decent outside stoke if i must say it. we won't be pushing anyone around in the paint....our game is going to be on the wing.

I really think this team is going to surprise. Maybe not "compete for the Big 12 title or get a high NCAA seed" surprise, but this team isn't going to be on the bubble the last week or two of the season (barring injuries). If there is one thing Lon Kruger is great at, it's getting the most of what talent he has. And he has some talent, even if it's young. Woodard, James, Odomes, McGusty, Strong/Shepherd.....that is some pretty good backcourt talent.
