Looks as if Capel being the coach of the U18 team has at least sparked some interest in us with a big time recruit. Quincy Miller, a highly rated 6'8 PF recently mentions Capel on his Twitter which led to a brief story over on ESPN (insider). Links below.

So awesome we have pretty much NO room on the roster should any of these kids bond with Jeff and elect to give OU a shot.

there will always be room for a guy like Quincy Miller.

I hope so, going to quit ragging Ford so hard...I still think he is a jerk but we may have to cut bait on a few kids that we have made commitments to.

Not trying to be a jerk, but how many top 10 players from North Carolina ever leave the state? I'm guessing not many.

Capel seems to do an excellent job of getting his foot in the door with top recruits. If he can get better at closing the deal (and closing the deal with the right ones), he's going to be a very successful head coach for a long time

Whatever Calipari did to lure John Wall to UK is probably not what Capel should seek to emulate.

I wasn't posting to say we are a shoe in to get him. In fact, I would say the chances are slim to none. The point was to display that even in our current situation, we are still getting interest from high caliber recruits. It certainly doesn't hurt to have a recruit dropping your coach's name.
