Ok.

Update on Arent's game from Chris Walker, his assistant coach at Sierra.

Some stuff on Grandy Glaze, former UNLV signee who is now on the market.

Some of the places the staff has been visiting.

The report about Arent's quickness wasn't too encouraging...it will be interesting to see what comes from his visit...

I was thinking the same thing... but Im not second guessing LK anytime soon!

Not exactly a glowing report on Arent. Not that impressed by his list of offers either.

We need a big man, if for no other reason, to rebound and take up space...if Arent isn't the guy, then who else is out there?

I guess. After some of the players we've taken over the past few seasons I'm just wary of literally wasting a scholarship.

I just know that we were a very poor rebounding team last year...we need someone to add some rebounding ability AND to allow Fitz a chance to play more at the 4...at the very least, he and Fitz could share the 5...

Looking at the Centers listed on Rivals, most of them are committed and/or signed already...Olaseni appears to be as highly rated as any of the remaining possibilities...

The question I have is who we do we have on the roster who is better?

Maybe not anyone. Perhaps we shouldn't forget where we are at right now. He can't be any worse the worst player we've had recently.

If the guy can actually come in and contribute SOMETHING, then I'm all for it.

What about gabe olaseni? What has happened with him? Why is no one talking about him?

People are still talking about Olaseni, but we haven't offered and Arent is more topical as he is on campus visiting as we speak.

The comments are impressive, but they still are more promising than Jurrick's motor skills

I don't think his play against Longar Longar, a guy who is much older and more experienced than him should be taken very seriously. LL is a pretty salty player and has played against great college players and a lot of pro players as well.

i certainly agree. running longer in on the kid to eat his lunch was probably abit of a setup. the old "you know kid your not as good as you think you are, but, we might still be willing to take a chance on you line" kruger knows what d1 talent looks like. i hope this kid meets his standard and signs.

Exactly. LL is also taller and has an imposing 7' 4" wing span.

I communicated by PM with someone who saw the practice, and he said this about Arent:

"I think Arent could play right away at a good level and help at least defensively. He's got good length and is a legit 6'10" or so. I couldn't see him redshirting even if he wanted to. He's not that far behind and he would be able to grow with our young guys."

Don't have a good feeling about this kid. I'd rather take a chance on a guy with 4 years. Next season is pretty much a wash anyway.

I haven't posted in a while. Last years team was the worse I have ever seen at OU and I didn't see any way out of this . We did change coaches and LK will be an improvement and this big kid we are recruiting tells me what kind of shape we are in. It sounds like he just takes up space but I guess we need someone to do that.

That makes me feel better. Thanks for sharing!

Getting schooled by Longar at this point isn't anything to be ashamed of....he'd probably school just about every post player in D-1 at this point in their careers.

I didn't think players could audition for scholarships anymore. Could Stoops bring in 50 kids and have them scrimmage and then offer the best schollys?
