New Recruit!
Vionese Pierre-Louis
2014 6'4 C, from Haiti, played Club ball for Essence purple
With Penzo. Took a visit During TCU game with Ortiz and Dungee.
Only other school I know she's visited is Florida And Mississippi State.

Also, Penzo is only 16 years Old and will be graduating High school.
This will be here first year in the U.S. Attending school,
And plans on Majoring in Pre-Med. The girls took her to the
Ok state Fair on her Visit and that sealed the deal.

As a junior:
22 points
14 rebounds
6 blocked shots
more assists than turnovers (only 41 turnovers in 27 games)
shot 78%
63% from the free throw line
50% from three
Who was she playing against to get these numbers?

Interesting! Stats are good but as Syb said, a lot depends on the competition.

JoNah Johnson was in Norman yesterday hanging out with the team.

Aha! So there is a method to the madness of going to Haiti every summer! ;)

Neydja Petithomme is the point guard on that team who is getting the most ink.

The Pride might have been having a tough time with Lines, but FBA was having a more difficult time with the 5-foot-8 Petithomme, who averaged more than 18 points a game for the Pride (23-4).

Twelve of Petithomme’s points were the results of layups off steals.

“What we saw today was no surprise,” FBA coach Jen Lines said of Petithomme, who is being recruited by Florida. “She’s a fantastic player and with her skill set is a player we have not seen before.

“What made (Petithomme) difficult is she did so many things well. She was tenacious on defense. She finished well and hit a couple of outside shots. She also passes well and gets other teammates involved. It’s hard to stop a player like that.”

At this time we have 13 on the roster for 2014, which includes the additions of Williams, Ortiz, and Penzo. If we sign Vionese Pierre-Louis, we will only have one ship left. Campbell will be the only senior next year. That means we will only have 2 ships for the 2015 class unless there are some defections.

Sounds like this would be a nice pickup.
Her stats even against suspect competition (not saying it's bad, just seems like we are not sure) shows a high level of activity/productivity.

I'll take a 6-4 project over signing no height at all.

Amen.

Found this online;
"It wasn't as easy as its playoff waltz, but FAMU High will get the opportunity to defend its Class 2A state title in girls basketball.
The Rattlers upended Boca Raton Grandview Prep 53-49 in Tuesday's first semifinal game at The Lakeland Center in the FHSAA Finals.
FAMU High (24-4) built a double-digit advantage, but withstood a late charge from Grandview Prep and overcame foul trouble to center LaKaris Salter.
The Rattlers also had to contend with 6-foot-4 Grandview Prep center Vionise Pierre-Louis, who finished with 17 points and 15 rebounds."

So in a state semifinal game Pierre-Louis was highly productive. I'd guess that's probably good HS competition.

Vionise Pierre-Louis

Highlight video... she doesn't look that tall but she has skills.

She's rated a 4 star recruit by ESPN. That is not a sleeper recruit to me. We need to reel her in. I liked her video Mac.

I think when they say "sleeper", they mean that coaches are not beating down her door but the recruiting guru who does the ranking really likes her.

I like the fact she plays tough. We are too soft in the middle and it sounds like she would be able to take physical play and dish it out as well.
